American-made luxury upholstery and case goods resource Sherrill Furniture Company has promoted India Miller to the new role of Vice President of Creative for Hickory White, Sherrill Furniture and Showroom Design, effective immediately.
“India is an amazing creative talent and a terrific leader. She creates inspiring design concepts and translates them beautifully into products and environments that capture our customers’ imagination” says company President, Thad Monroe. “India’s creative leadership in various aspects of Sherrill’s business over the last 10 years, plus the critical role she played in the successful transformation and launch of the new Sherrill showroom have earned her this new opportunity.”
In this new role, Miller reports to Monroe, and is charged with elevating Hickory White and Sherrill Furniture brands Creativity in product design, merchandising, fabric-to-frame and showroom experience. “Hickory White’s roots extend all the way back to 1881 and Sherrill’s to 1945. When I think about the legacy of these brands, and following in the footsteps of Buddy Sherrill, an industry icon and my friend, I am both humbled and excited to take on this new challenge” says Miller.

Reporting to India Miller are a talented team of full time and contract design professionals, plus a recently added Showroom Manager, Betsy Strickland, who is responsible for day-to-day operations of the new Sherrill Showroom building. “We are committed to this new role and are making investments in the resources and support needed to make the most of India’s creative leadership for the company” says Charles Sherrill.
