Norwalk Furniture has announced that Carrie Norris has taken on the role of Vice President of Business Development. Norris joined the company in April, just before High Point Market. She spent her early career in retail as a store owner, starting her first store at 22 years old. She is a third generation furniture family and has strong ties to Norwalk Furniture.
In her new role as VP of Business Development, Norris will take the lead in three primary categories: Sales execution through retail, to the trade programs for the design community, and fostering growth with existing and new OEM partners. In addition she will be responsible for the execution of the Markets in High Point, Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas.
“Carrie brings an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of urgency to everything she does. She also has a deep knowledge of Norwalk Furniture that stems from her experiences as a Norwalk retailer, representative and past executive with the company,” says Tim Newlin, Norwalk President and CEO. Her knowledge of the Norwalk system comes from her
internal relationships and complete understanding of business operations stemming from her leadership of the ERP implementation back in 2014.
Norris states, “It has been great to see old friends and to create new relationships that will help grow the business. We have such a special heritage to work from and I am excited to be part of this new executive team as we lay out our future here at Norwalk.”
