After 23 years of service, Mila Leyva has retired from Nora Lighting. Leyva was the second employee to join the company and held a range of positions at the lighting manufacturing company.

Leyva joined the company when it was a small storefront operation in Los Angeles with just four employees and a couple of accounts. She started as the office manager and was promoted to accounts receivable. She later oversaw the human resources department.

“We have been extremely fortunate to have Mila on our team for so many years,” Executive Vice President Jilla Farzan said. “As Nora grew, Mila took on more responsibilities and helped us achieve our goals in becoming an industry leader. Along with being a valuable team member, Mila has become a trusted friend and we will miss her smiling face everyday.”

Leyva says she will now have time to pursue her personal interests, including Zumba and fitness classes.

“I am so thankful for having been given the opportunity to work with Nora for 23 years,” she said. “Thank you Fred (Farzan) and Jilla from the bottom of my heart for believing in me all those years.”
