Kingsdown has turned to a fashion industry executive to synthesize its marketing and branding for its United States, Canada and Zedbed business units. Kevin Spencer has been appointed Vice President of Marketing and Branding and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase brand engagement.

Spencer brings to the group his keen strategic approach to developing compelling marketing messages and visuals designed to create demand and elevate the consumer brand experience. Spencer will work with the current marketing team and be located at the U.S. corporate office in Mebane, NC.

“Kevin brings valuable experience from an extensive marketing career focused on textile and apparel marketing, from the fiber level to finished consumer goods,” said Frank Hood, Chief Executive Officer of Kingsdown. “His agency and corporate marketing leadership in the development of creative brand building initiatives is an important asset as we continue to grow in the global market.”

Prior to joining Kingsdown, Spencer served as Creative Director for the global apparel brand, VF Jeanswear. In his more previous roles, he worked for various marketing and textile companies, specializing in brand development, creative-driven initiatives and elevated consumer experiences.

“Working with an authentic, legacy brand such as Kingsdown is an exciting opportunity, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with this outstanding international team and engaging with customers to create demand in new ways for these premium product groups,” Spencer said.

A graduate of Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR, Spencer received his bachelor’s degree in natural sciences with a minor in graphic design. He lives in Summerfield, NC, with his wife and children.
