Gregory Andrew Curry, 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2021 of natural causes. It was far too early for this son, father, brother, friend, and colleague to leave us. Greg was born on September 25, 1965 in Fort Wayne, IN; and later moved to CT where he spent most of his youth. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in RI, Class of 1988.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Greg started his 33-year career in the furniture industry. Greg started by selling retail, moved through the industry in various sales positions and rose through the ranks until he became a founding partner at Engender Furniture, where he was able to put his own furniture designs on the floor. He then worked at Spectra Furniture as the Director of Merchandising. Greg’s passion in furniture was designing, creating, and selling.
Greg loved large and will be missed greatly. May your spirit live on in your children and your children’s children. Greg leaves behind his six children whom he dearly loved, Ashley Paige Hawkins and husband Matthew of NH; Gordon Lachlan Curry and fiancé Stevie Rain Fremeau of MA; Gregory Cameron Curry of NC; Noah Seth Matthew Curry of NH; Dylan Curry and Katherine (Katie) Curry both of High Point, NC; his wife Regina Curry of Sanford, NC; parents Gordon and Janet Curry of Avon, CT and sisters, Julie Yescott and Jill Curry both of CT. Greg also leaves three grandchildren, Samuel, Brynn and Elianna Hawkins and one on the way, Gianna Aspen Curry as well as three nieces and one brother-in-law, Edward Yescott.
Greg’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11 am at Bethel Christian Church, 750 Stevens St. Bristol, CT 06010. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Go Fund Me Account to benefit the education requirements of Greg’s two youngest children.
