WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, has leveraged its networking capabilities on the Mighty Network platform.
“The Mighty Network is a cross between Instagram and LinkedIn where members have the opportunity to engage in discussion topics, ask questions, post pictures, and join groups. It is a great networking tool for our organization and an easy way for members to connect and get involved with WithIt,” says Madeline Brown, VP of Networking for WithIt. The Mighty Network is free for all members to access as an additional perk of membership.
Furthermore, WithIt is launching the industry’s first book club on the Mighty Network platform. “Our goal is to have an open and safe place for members and friends to come together. No commitment, no stress, just a place to visit and discuss struggles or success we’ve experienced in both our professional and personal lives,” says Brown.
The first book is The Gifts of Imperfection by award-winning author and motivational speaker Brene Brown. The book club will discuss a chapter per week on the Mighty Network with insightful questions and conversation topics, then meet virtually every other Tuesday evening to recap the previous two weeks' readings and discussion.
WithIt hopes to grow the Mighty Network platform by allowing members to virtually meet and network. “Our efforts over the last three years to connect and engage regionally diverse women between markets were exponentially accelerated this year by the pandemic. Our programs let women nurture and expand their networks, which are crucial to their success,” says Amy Van Dorp, executive director for WithIt.
