Uttermost, a major manufacturer and wholesaler of home furnishings, has added new capacity in Dallas, TX, and expanded in Virginia.
Construction of its 161,000 square foot distribution center in Dallas was completed in 2023. The building features many environmentally friendly features that are new in the DFW metroplex. Currently, five levels of racking along with state-of-the-art material handling equipment is being installed. This will be Uttermost's third DC, and modeled after its California operations. All DC's will be fully in-stock for Uttermost, REVELATION, and Salt & Light lines of product.
The new Dallas DC will provide more capacity to handle growth across all brands. In addition, the Dallas DC will allow for faster service with lower shipping costs to customers in TX, AR, CO, KS, LA, MS, NM, OK, and WY. Finally, this DC will house a substantial photography studio for REVELATION product. The REVELATION Design office is located 10 minutes away, in the World Trade Center.
Uttermost's Virginia headquarters was expanded to 713,000 square feet under one roof in 2023, with racking currently being installed.
Per Mac Cooper, President, 'we'll continue to expand capacity as needed to support our customer's growth. The new Dallas DC will be a huge benefit to customers in the middle of the country, as shipping times and costs from either CA or VA are not ideal. We serve as the warehouse for so many of our customers, so we must hold big inventories as close to our customers as possible."
