With a focus on presenting a wide variety of styles, statement-making scaling and a mix of modern materials, Sunset West has developed four new collections, as well as several new accent items, for the upcoming Casual Market in Atlanta, according to a news release.
Casual traditional, modern and elegant coastal styles combine with aluminum, handwoven resin wicker, solid teak and organic concrete to deliver luxury outdoor furnishings that are both stylish and durable, company officials said.
“Our new introductions draw inspiration from the serene elegance of high-end resorts, the chic sophistication of Malibu, and the timeless charm of a classic garden party,” said Aliena Klaus Squire, Vice President of Marketing with Sunset West. “Appealing to a wide variety of consumers and geographic locations across the country, each collection utilizes premium, modern materials with organic aesthetics and hand-craftsmanship. This mix of form and function offers our customers a luxurious mix of premium materials that mimic natural materials for an organic aesthetic, while providing low maintenance for today’s lifestyles.”
According to a press release, highlights of the new Sunset West collections include:
- Malibu Collection: Deco-inspired elegance meets contemporary sophistication in the Malibu Collection. Hand-welded to deliver seamless joinery, it is constructed with durable aluminum and hand-brushed in a sleek, matte coal finish. Seating silhouettes feature curved tuxedo arm styling and architectural split-back frames. The frame backs include a hand-welded horizontal design element that doubles as a “tie-back” for weather-resistant, high-resiliency foam cushions. Melding design cues from the mid-century era with sleek profiles, Malibu offers deep seating, dining and occasional pieces that embody a Malibu beach design aesthetic.
- Cabo & Playa Collections: Characterized by generous comfort and scale, the Cabo and Playa Collections were designed to bring resort-style outdoor furnishings to the home. Crafted with handwoven full round resin wicker, the pieces feature extra-wide track-arm silhouettes paired with ultra-plush cushions for deep seated comfort. Featuring wide, knife-edge flange details and newly engineered foam cores, the “cloud-like” cushions deliver a relaxed blend of modern sophistication and serene luxury. The group is available in two colorways: Cabo, a lighter-tone, Heathered Natural finish, and Playa, a darker-tone Kahlua finish. Coordinating dining and occasional tables are hand-sanded in solid teak wood.
- Cambria Collection: Designed for outdoor entertaining, the Cambria Collection comes in solid teak wood in a weathered teak finish, paired with handwoven textured resin weaves. Add a latte tone for a classic design that puts the spotlight on natural materials and textures. Available in dining, lounge, occasional, and deep seating silhouettes, the Cambria Collection blends preppy, coastal style with durable and organic materials.
Company officials said highlights of the new Sunset West accent items include:
- Dune Table Series: Evoking the natural pattern of wind-swept sand dunes, the Dune table series is available as a coffee table and an end table.
- Travertino Table Series: Rendered in concrete, mimicking natural stone with creamy travertine shades in contemporary pedestal silhouettes, the Travertino Table Series features smooth, rounded aprons. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the coffee and end tables can be nested for an interesting, layered look.
- Trellis Table Series: Available as a coffee table and an end table, these “found” outdoor concrete tables are unique, antiqued pieces to layer into an outdoor setting.
The products will be on display in Sunset West’s newly expanded showroom located on the sixth floor of AmericasMart in Building 1 (Space 6-A1). With nearly 5,000 square-feet of display space, the showroom is more than 65 percent larger than its previous space at the inaugural Casual Market in Atlanta.
To celebrate, the company is hosting a grand opening event featuring multiple prize giveaways, catered food and signature cocktails on July 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunset West will also host a WithIt Roundtable and Networking event in Atlanta on Wed., July 17, from 3:30 p.m.– 5 pm. With a focus on the power of mentoring for professional growth, discussions will include information about Withit’s new mentoring program. Networking begins at 3:30 p.m., and roundtable discussions begin at 4 p.m. WithIt members and guests are welcome.
