Area rug atelier Samad will introduce its first hospitality rug collection, a line created in collaboration with renowned interior designer Charles Pavarini III, at the upcoming hotel and retail design fair Boutique Design New York, Nov. 11-12. The eponymous licensed collection is the next step in Samad's strategy in this market segment and marks the official launch of Samad's hospitality division. New York interior designer Pavarini creates his first area rug collection with Samad.
"Charles Pavarini III is a legendary designer with a loyal following in the design community," said David Samad, co-founder of the New Jersey company that returns to BDNY for the second time and can be found at Booth #151. "Charles has a dynamic personality which is reflected in his work. The CPIII collection of designs has been carefully selected to lend itself to boutique hotels, casinos and other stimulating public environments calling for bold and bright design to amuse and entertain." The CPIII assortment, which is hand-tufted, uses geometric patterns and bold color combinations to create dynamic designs that create a sense of movement and energy.
Samad previewed the new Charles Pavarini III collection of area rugs at High Point Market, including the Kinetics Carpet in Pavarini’s Signature Blue. As if given an electric shock, it offers an energetic design with high-contrast aqua and lime patterning. Kinetics is an ideal product for hospitality environments calling for bold and bright design to amuse and entertain.
"My skills and passions have always driven me toward hospitality work where I can express my true self to a wide audience as I once did on stage in my former career in musical comedy," says Pavarini. "The opportunity to partner with Samad to launch a hospitality division is fulfilling a lifelong dream."
The Pavarini collection, while not Samad's first venture into licensed products, will be the company's first initiative to specifically target the hospitality market. Samad also has a licensed area rug program featuring the designs of the late pop artist Rex Ray.
"There are no boundaries when it comes to the type of projects we will undertake, and we can guarantee every project from production to installation in any country in the world," Samad said. "Samad has spent the last 33 years in the United States producing some of the finest decorative rugs in the world. This new division is another step into taking our company to the next level. We are delighted to be associated with Pavarini Design and are confident that the initial designs will be well received at the upcoming BDNY market."
Samad will be hosting Pavarini for an in-person meet and greet at the Samad BDNY Booth #151 on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
