The Retail Doctor LLC announced today the launch of SalesRX2022, a new program of online retail sales training that offers on-demand retail sales training for physical retailers starting at $295 a month.
Fresh off receiving the 2020 Innovation Leadership Award from the World Retail Forum, Bob Phibbs, CEO of the Retail Doctor, has completely refilmed, renovated and expanded his online learning platform SalesRX to prepare retailers for the new challenges of a waning pandemic. The SalesRX retail sales training program gives retailers access to affordable online learning aligned with the real job of engaging a stranger, building rapport, becoming a trusted advisor, and making the sale.
“Retailers are enjoying solid sales which is good but they can do so much more,” said Phibbs. “The next six to 18 months have the potential of once-in-a-generation sales numbers for retailers with stores. Those retailers who have emerged from the lockdowns of 2020 are enjoying strong shopper interest. We recognized the opportunity for retailers as part of the Great Human Reconnection requires new strategies based on my three decades of experience with thousands of retailers across the world.
SalesRX Core training consists of 33 lessons for both managers and associates organized around the five stages of a shopper’s journey: Awareness, Discovery, Qualifying, Consideration and Purchase. The skills for each stage create a robust branded shopping experience where the associates trigger customer curiosity, build rapport, create desire, instill confidence, and get commitment to buy.
Many retailers have cut staff and training and are now leaning into more online capabilities. While that is necessary, you can convert a shopper in a store at 30 percent to 40 percent while online-only converts at about 1 percent to 2 percent. But that takes training and accountability to use the training, not just take it.
Phibbs added, “We completed filming just two months ago. There isn’t fresher training available for retailers. We were able to move from presenting in a classroom like 99 percent of training videos to full motion graphics, gamification and leaderboards so learners can continually be reinforced for using the training.”
