Parker House Furniture has announced the appointment of Doug Townsend to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to President and CEO Chris Lupo, Townsend will oversee the organization’s corporate operations, product manufacturing, supply chain management, domestic and international logistics, as well as directing the company’s warehousing and eCommerce initiatives.

With more than 25 years in the home furnishings industry, Townsend’s experience includes leadership roles with Samuel Lawrence Furniture, Home Meridian International and Hooker Furniture. He led HMI as Co-President, with previous roles as its CFO, EVP of US and Asian Operations, and COO of the ecommerce, clubs/mass and hospitality divisions. Most recently, Townsend was Chief Transformation Officer of The Living Company, a leading provider of furniture for student housing and hospitality.

Parker House Furniture co-owner Victor Zonni, who previously led company operations, is transitioning to an advisory position within the organization and remains Secretary of the Board of Directors.
