Napa Home & Garden has hired Andrew Palm as Creative Director.

The hiring of Palm will grow Napa’s position as a category leader in home, garden, floral and holiday. He will work in tandem with KC Cunningham, Napa President, on all aspects of the company’s creative output from product development to merchandising and photography direction. The Philadelphia resident will be relocating to the company headquarters in Duluth, GA.

“Andrew brings to Napa the retail experience necessary to understand consumers,” says Cunningham. “He knows how they think and what they buy and he understands the challenges retail store owners face when running a business,” adding, “his retail experience adds a new dimension to our senior management team.”

Palm comes to Napa from Terrain, a notable garden, home and outdoor lifestyle consumer brand and a division of Anthropologie. As a senior buyer at Terrain for five years, he was one of the original creative forces behind the company’s signature clean, organic aesthetic and was involved in the artifact buying process for fixtures, reproduction, and for sale. Prior to Terrain, Palm was with Anthropologie, utilizing his buying and merchandising skills in the furniture and lighting categories.

“We love the chic, on-trend look that Andrew brought to Terrain,” Cunningham says. “We admire his authentic, pure design sense, as well as his zest for gardening. This aligns with our renewed focus in this category.”

“I certainly have a passion for the garden lifestyle indoors and out,” says Palm. “I love to mix my plant collections alongside unique home decor finds from my many travels around the world. I am thrilled to bring these experiences and ideas to Napa and ultimately inspire customers in their own homes."

In addition to home and garden, Palm was instrumental in building a holiday line for Terrain. Andrew is expected to bring his unique talents in refreshing and resetting this important category for Napa.

Jerry Cunningham, Napa CEO, adds: “Andrew’s role as a senior buyer for Terrain and his time with Anthropologie make him perfectly suited to help KC maintain the Napa brand and also take us in exciting new directions that will expand and grow the company.”

A Wisconsin native, Palm eventually made his way south to study at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), earning his BA in Fiber Arts, with a minor in Art & Architectural History. His expertise in this area is in concert with, and sure to benefit, the Napa brand.

Palm will be joining Napa Home & Garden in time for summer market in Atlanta. A meet & greet party will take place at the Napa showroom, AmericasMart Atlanta, Building 2, 12th floor #1210, on Friday, July 13, from 4 to 6pm.
