Merritt International, a casual tableware company, will exhibit additional pieces of melamine art from Maine artist Kate Nelligan during the upcoming Casual Market Chicago. On display in its booth # 7-8102 on the seventh floor of the Chicago Merchandise Mart, Sept. 10 to 13, 2019. Additions to Merritt’s heavy-duty melamine collections for 2020 will include colorful and contrasting bowls and serving pieces by Nelligan.
Kate Nelligan, founder of Kate Nelligan Design, presents a crisp, colorful palette and graphic imagery evoking the artist’s coastal hometown of Kennebunkport, Maine. Dinner plates, bowls and serving piece as well as acrylic drinkware are included in the collections comprising the Merritt Designs collaboration.
Previously debuting at the summer gift markets, Nelligan’s designs have received a positive response from gift and outdoor décor designers and retailers. Within the expanded offering, bowls and serving pieces will be adorned with the Clamshell, Buoy and the Striper Collection imagery.
“Our 2020 collections are especially exciting as we partner with Kate and present her iconic New England and nautical sensibilities,” said Kimberly Plummer, sales and marketing manager for Merritt Designs. “During the summer markets, each piece drew considerable attention from visitors to our booths in Atlanta and Las Vegas.”
