The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) has welcomed Guojian Hu and Luke Renwick as Professional-level members.
Membership is available to architectural lighting designers who have at least five years of experience in the field in the role of senior designer or above in an independent consulting practice. IALD members must meet the highest educational and ethical standards in order to belong to this community, and are accepted as Professional members based on their portfolios and recommendations.

Guojian Hu has 12 years of experience in lighting planning, design research and project management. He has been honored with various local and international awards for several projects in his pursuit for design innovation and technical detail.
Hu is a published writer whose works on lighting master planning, design and research have been represented in the CIE plenary lecture; the Australian lighting magazine Lighting; and Chinese professional magazines: Ideal Space, Urban Planning, China Illuminating Engineering Journal, Information of China Construction and Shanxi Architecture.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the Schreyer Honors College, Renwick believes in the role of integrating natural and electric lighting within the collaborative design process and built environment. He also utilizes his background of architecture and engineering to see the benefit of merging design creativity with technical expertise, in an effort to humanize the user experience.
Renwick has received multiple Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Illumination Awards of Merit; is a guest lecturer at Pennsylvania State University and Lawrence Technological University; and strives to mentor teammates.
