HRI will introduce a new rug collection with Sunbrella at Las Vegas Market

As performance fabrics continue to rise in popularity for indoor home furnishings, Harounian Rugs International has announced a partnership with Sunbrella to create a line of floor-covering collections using Sunbrella yarns.

The area rugs, which will be designed for cutting-edge performance along with broadloom and hand-loomed qualities and will be offered in a range of textures in thick dense piles, will debut this January at the Las Vegas Market. HRI Performance Rugs featuring Sunbrella will be available in a wide range of price points in keeping with the high standards of the proven Sunbrella brand.

Rug designs in the new HRI Sunbrella collection will include transitional, traditional, contemporary, mid-century, and arts and crafts styles, alongside designs from textile designer Wesley Mancini. According to HRI, the Sunbrella fiber used in the new Performance collections are stain-resistant — even with spills or pet accidents — and will not fade. There will be five collections, including machine-made area rugs for indoor and outdoor performance, hand-loomed collections from India and Nepal, and a broadloom collection that will be part of a custom “cut-to-order” program.

In addition to the Sunbrella introductions, HRI will also introduce six new hand-knotted and hand-loomed collections during LasVegas Market.  These new offerings will feature transitional and traditional looks in trending colorways. “The combination of six new handmade collections in addition to the extensive Sunbrella offering will make this LasVegas Market our largest product launch in the company’s history,” said Greg Jordt, HRI, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
