Hooker Furnishings has released its schedule of educational and social events for the Spring 2024 High Point Market. Kicking off Friday, April 12 with its highly anticipated 100th Anniversary Party – A Century of Home – the events range from educational panels on Science in Design, technology for the design industry, and brand collaborations, to social happy hours and giveaways.

10am Science in Design Presents Biophilia: The Human Need for Nature

Description: We are nature. We were born in nature but now surround ourselves with an unnatural environment. Biophilic design is our opportunity to reconnect to what is natural to us as a people. The session explores the origin of biophilia, biophilic design worldwide, applying biophilic design, as well as studies documenting the health benefits of biophilic design.
