The H Foundation, the nonprofit organization of Hortons Home Lighting, is gearing up for its 17th annual Goombay Bash set for Saturday, July 29 at Navy Pier in Chicago.
The tropical-themed event running from 5 p.m. to midnight draws more than 1,000 attendees each year to raise money for cancer research. In 16 years, the organization has raised $7 million for basic science cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
The evening will feature celebrity guests, a live and silent auction, a live drawing, a gourmet buffet and cash bar and a fireworks finale. Tickets cost $150 for general admission and $250 for VIP admission which includes premium seating and concierge services.
