Television star, celebrity stylist, designer and author Carson Kressley is set to tape 6 episodes for season 2 of his popular design-centric talk show, Couched, for The Design Network (TDN) during Fall High Point Market, October 16-20.
The show’s format is a mix of dishy interviews, game show-inspired contests, and insider advice. Each episode will welcome two design industry leaders such as Corey Damen Jenkins, Douglas Truesdale, Mark and Jason Phillips, and Amy Matthews. These guests join the ranks of season 1 interviewees such as Thom Filicia, Hilary Farr, and Alexa Hampton.
Market attendees with a valid Fall Market pass are invited to be a part of the live studio audience on Tuesday, October 19, and Wednesday October 20, in the High Point Theatre, located in the Transportation Terminal. The full schedule is available, with doors opening 15 minutes prior to each episode.
“Carson brings such energy to a room, which we’ve witnessed previously when he’s been on stage during Market. We’re thrilled he’s using High Point Market as his platform for Couched season 2; it makes a lot of sense with the Who’s Who of the industry already in town,” commented Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority, sponsors of the Fall Market tapings alongside International Market Centers (IMC).
“High Point truly is the furniture capital of the world and it’s so astounding to me to see the convergence of the world’s great manufacturers, retailers, and designers each April and October. It’s the perfect stage to celebrate interior design, and Carson is the perfect person to spark the conversation and bring it to the world,” added Jason Harris, Founder of The Design Network.
Originally launched in January 2020, season 1 of Couched coincided with the channel’s 24/7 linear TV launch into millions of homes across America. The guest list paired with Carson’s obsession with interior design in a traditional talk show format was a hit and helped to both secure TDN’s identity and propel the network’s viewership.
The 6 episodes taped at High Point Market will debut in December on TDN’s 14 free ad-supported streaming TV platforms including Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Amazon’s IMDb TV, Vizio WatchFree Plus, Pluto TV, Sling TV, Xumo and Redbox. The show will also air in Canada and in the UK via Samsung TV Plus and in 12 additional countries in Europe through Rakuten TV.
