Lifestyle and product design manufacturer Comfort Research announced this week the upcoming debut of new lightweight furniture technology at the Winter 2018 Las Vegas Market.
Among the planned reveals is a new, indoor/outdoor line of modular furniture under the Big Joe brand featuring Comfort’s proprietary lightweight Orahh® molded polystyrene frame. The company will also showcase new foam and bean fill designs, called Ahhsome™ and Megahh™, as well as new fabrics, featuring Spandex, bean bag chair shapes and pool furniture products. The products will be on display in showroom A931 at the Las Vegas Market.
Big Joe Modular Outdoor Furniture uses Comfort Research’s patented Orahh Technology to provide consumers with a durable, comfortable and portable seating solution that transitions seamlessly from indoors to outdoors due to its wood-free frame and use of Sunbrella fabric.
The new and improved Ahhsome shredded foam, utilized in several Big Joe products, allows for higher compression packaging that provides efficiencies in shipping size and related costs.
The newly engineered Megahh bean features a denser, more precisely rounded shape, enhancing product longevity and better shape holds.
“We continue to advance the concepts of comfort and affordability, and we’re constantly discovering and learning along the way,” said Matt Jung, FABulator of Comfort Research. “We introduced our new and improved Orahh molded foam at last year’s show in Vegas and, in doing so, demonstrated the possibilities of a solid-base construction capable of supporting more than 1,000 pounds. That discovery led us to the platform for our new, multifunctional Big Joe Modular line of indoor/outdoor seating and it informs the design of Ahhsome and Megahh, born of the same principle. All of it leads to enhanced comfort and new levels of relaxation for Big Joe fans.”
Comfort Research will also feature new pool products for their Big Joe Pool Petz, such as Fruit Slice Floats, Chompers and Zzoodles. Additionally, the Big Joe line offers new fabric selections, including a heavier weight Lenox fabric and Spandex-enhanced options for the Slalom, Warp and Kushi products.
“As the definition of comfort and style evolve, our products and technology are refined to meet new expectations of luxury at an affordable price for everyone,” said Chip George, Ambassador of Awesome at Comfort Research. “Comfort has no bounds and we strive to offer the latest trends and designs that provide supreme relaxation for all."
