ANDMORE at High Point Market delivers robust programming complete with more than 40 webinars, events, presentations and seminars – including 17 CEU-eligible courses – available before and during the Fall edition of High Point Market, October 14-18, 2023.

The Fall 2023 TrendWatch, ANDMORE’s proprietary High Point Market trend forecast, explores what’s next in home furnishings in a multi-part presentation including seminars, tours and displays. Two trends – Brights & White and Middle Ground– will be considered before and during market. 

TrendWatch curator, Julie Vincenti Smith of Nine Muses Media in Chicago, kicks off the Fall 2023 programming prior to Market, on Wednesday, October 4, at 1 p.m. EDT, with the TrendWatch: Fall 2023 Webinar (1 CEU). The webinar, complete with consumer insights and creative intelligence from industry trailblazers, offers an inside look at trends shaping the home furnishings industry. An at-market presentation from Vincenti, TrendWatch: Fall 2023 – LIVE at Market!, expands upon these trends on Saturday, October 14, at 12 p.m., in the Sherwin-Williams Seminar Room at the Suites at Market Square (SAMS) (1 CEU). Vincenti closes the Fall 2023 TrendWatch program with the TrendWatch Tour, leading a 60-minute journey through two product-packed TrendWatch displays in the IHFC’s Green Lobby and the Suites at Market Square Lobby on Monday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m. 

Sherwin-Williams Seminar Space Serves as a Destination for Dialogues on Design 

ANDMORE’s partnership with Sherwin-Williams continues, with the paint company presenting two exclusive color programming sessions, additional co-sponsored presentations with ASID and Colour Hive and sponsoring the at-market education destination. During Fall 2023 High Point Market, the Sherwin-Williams Seminar Space on the top floor at SAMS hosts ANDMORE at High Point Market’s 11 sessions on design trends and business opportunities.

Color trend programming includes a pre-market webinar for the 2024 Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year on Thursday, October 5, at 1 p.m., to discuss the process of this color selection, presented by Sue Wadden of Sherwin- Williams (1 CEU). Wadden returns during Market on Sunday, October 15, at 12 p.m., to present the Sherwin-Williams 2024 Colormix® Forecast with a complete forecast for 2024 color trends (1 CEU). 

At High Point Market, four headliner sessions lead daily conversations on industry and design. Erin & Ben Napier of HGTV Home Town present Discovering American Sugar: The Quest for American Made, on Sunday, October 15, at 10 a.m., discussing the value of American-made products, moderated by Diane Falvey and in partnership with Furniture, Lighting + Decor (1 CEU). Female-led industry how-to, Women in the Industry - Staying True to Your Vision, follows Libby Langdon, Veronica Schnitzius, Kate Lester, Evette Rios and Luxe Interiors + Design managing editor, Kate Kelly Smith, through the lens of cultivating culture and overcoming obstacles on Monday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m. (1 CEU). In Designing for Your Body, Mind, and Spirit: Achieving a Wholistic Approach to Balancing Opulence, and Zen, Décor News Now editor, Courtney Porter, engages Denise Gordon, Aviva Stanoff, Carolyn Kelly and Mercedes Austin regarding the importance of tranquil living on Saturday, October 14, at 4 p.m. (1 CEU). Laura Hodges, Byron Risdon, Nicole White and June Reese take the stage on Monday, October 16, at 10:30 a.m., in Iconic Home: Interiors, Advice and Stories from Amazing Black Designers (1 CEU), travelling through career journeys and design inspirations, followed by a book signing and Meet & Mingle at 11:15 a.m. 

ANDMORE at High Point Market offers other trend presentations including Samantha Duha in Colour Hive 2024 Global Trends, defining how consumer demands will inform design themes on Monday, October 16, at 12:30 p.m. (1 CEU), followed by ASID’s Economic Outlook Report on the future of the interior design profession at 4 p.m. (1 CEU). On Tuesday, October 17, buyers can enjoy Christa O’Leary of Home in Harmony Lifestyle’s “Designer’s Toolbox” - How to Live a More Stylish, Healthy and Harmonious Life! session at 11 a.m. (1 CEU) on how to create a more balanced home, followed by Anna Maddamma of Sherwin-Williams’ How Do Cultures Influence Color? seminar at 1 p.m., detailing the exploration of how colors are perceived through culture (1 CEU). 

 

Businesses Gain Insight Through Market Programming 

At-market programming also will include business-building tips to lead in an ever-evolving market. All sessions will be presented in the Sherwin-Williams Seminar Room at SAMS.

Spend-sational! The Business and Responsibility of Buying for the Home, facilitated by Breegan Jane, Michael Del Piero, David Ecton and Krissa Rossbound, discusses buying goods for the home, educating clients on materials and building a business model that supports it on Sunday, October 15, at 4 p.m., in partnership with Traditional Home. (1 CEU). Jasmine Crocket, Lori Paranjape, Jaime Zehner, Noel Gatts and Designers Today editor, Andrea Lillo, discuss promoting financial success in How to Leverage Affiliate Marketing to Create Passive Income on Sunday, October 15, at 2 p.m. (1 CEU). Following the WithIt: AI’s Potential for Impacting Your B2B Business panel on Monday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry gurus. Science in Design will present Designing with a Doctor’s Note, led by Jane Dagmi, discussing a doctor’s approach to patient care and design for the home, joined by Angela Harris, Dr. Rebecca Tapia and Patricia Kennedy on Saturday, October 14, at 8:30 a.m. (1 CEU). On Wednesday, October 18, university students are invited to collect insights from Kimberly Joi McDonald on pursuing a career in home furnishings and interior design at 8 a.m. on WithIt 2023 Student Mentoring Day.

Program highlights confirmed to date are: Hubbardton Forge VP of Design, David Kitts, illuminates the lighting design process in Forging Ahead: The Design Process of US-based Lighting Brand Hubbardton Forge on Sunday, October 15, at 1 p.m.; IHFC exhibitor, Fabelli Italia, hosts an Italian Wine Tasting & Appetizers on Friday, October 13, at 4 p.m., offering regional wines, Italian bites and a raffle to win a trip to the Fabelli factory in Italy. On Saturday, October 14, at 3 p.m., Jeffan International hosts a launch party for HGTV star Egypt Sherrod’s new furniture collection: Indigo Road x East at Main Collection; and Sagebrook Home hosts its Grand Opening Party complete with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 4 p.m. Leftbank Art hosts three programming must-sees, kickstarting the series on Saturday, October 14, with Right at Home with Bobby Berk: Book Signing Meet & Greet at 1 p.m., including an opportunity to see his latest designer art collection. Kate Marker follows with Designer Meet & Greet with New Collaborator: Kate Marker at 4 p.m., as she showcases her new collection with Leftbank Art. On Sunday, October 15, Nicole White and Justin Q. Williams host their Designer Meet & Greet at 10 a.m., giving attendees the opportunity to see their brand-new collections and creative insights.
