Brazilian manufacturer Accord Lighting is expanding their presence in North America and will open a new showroom on the second floor of Market Square next month in High Point, NC. Accord began as a maker of fine furniture over 26 years ago before pivoting in 2006 to become a full time lighting manufacturer. Accord Home: a collection of accent and occasional tables premiering at the April show is a return to the company’s roots.
“It was only a matter of time before we reconnected with our origins as a maker of fine furniture and introduce accent tables to complement our lighting designs” states Bruce Hathaway, Director of Sales. “We’re definitely excited about this new category, but mostly, we’re thrilled to be opening our High Point showroom to show off our beautiful lighting designs and build brand awareness with a new community of buyers and influencers who may not have discovered us before.”
CEO Bernardo Acordi states “We see the momentum continuing for natural wood products that are sustainably sourced and manufactured. We’ll always be focused primarily on lighting design. That’s our core business, but now we can utilize our design expertise and woodworking skills to create beautiful accent furniture, also.”
