Van Teal today announced that after 46 years, it will close its permanent showroom at High Point Market ahead of next week’s market. The lighting manufacturer will not attend the upcoming market.
“Though a tough decision, we feel that at this time it is the correct and appropriate decision for the company given that the direction, scope and nature of our industry has changed significantly over the last decade,” said CEO Hivo G. Van Teal Sr. in a statement. “We are grateful to have many wonderful and shared memories at High Point and for the lifelong friendships we established.”
The company will release its new collection in early 2019, adding new product categories and transitioning to a more modern and user-friendly website. Van Teal will also use digital media, including social media, to provide dealers with rapid access to information regarding product, inventory and releases.
