Designer-focused, custom casegoods maker Tritter Feefer is set to unveil a new division at the fall 2019 High Point Market.
Located in InterHall space IH202, family owned and operated Tritter Feefer is one of the few successful, purely custom casegoods concerns still manufacturing domestically. This market, the company is expanding its reach with the launch of a new import division called Tritter Feefer ID. According to ML Littlefield, who co-owns the company with her husband/business partner Bill Aultman, the ID stands for interior design and immediate delivery in addition to import division, differentiating the product from the high-end, customizable Tritter Feefer product.
In Stock, Ready for Immediate Delivery
“While we’re known for our customization capabilities, and we will continue to make furniture here in Georgia, there are generational shifts happening in the marketplace, and younger designers and shoppers in particular, are not always willing to wait for fully customized product,” Littlefield says. “More and more often, we’re finding that designers pressed for time often need something fast to complete a project that they’re working on. This new division will complement our custom line, while enabling us to hold furniture in stock for those who want, or need it, quickly.”
Initially, the new ID division will focus on producing best-selling designs from the Tritter Feefer custom line, available in a choice of two trend-right finishes: Graphite and Light St. Moritz. Among the offerings will be the popular Madame X coffee table, one of the first designs introduced when Tritter Feefer was launched more than a decade ago. “Leading edge style when it first debuted, Madame X, like many of our great designs, has proven to stand the test of time,” Littlefield notes. Indeed, with its simple, X-motif, the transitional table design is equally at home in a variety of settings.
Also on tap are the D’Ambrosio, Dew, Rita and Smillie side tables. The high-style D’Ambrosio is a curvaceous piece inspired by mirror images reflected on still water, while the Dew is a boxy silhouette with two drawers that makes the most of negative space and geometry. Smillie is a sinuous, high-end piece inspired by interior designer Jan Showers. The shapely Kara chest, and the Xavier console, another striking, X-shaped design, round out the Tritter Feefer ID assortment.
A Seat at the Tritter Feefer Table
Additionally, for the first time ever, Tritter Feefer will be showing comfortable, transitionally styled upholstered dining chairs designed to pair with its dining table designs.
“The chairs, in three styles, with either straight or tapered legs, are available in four different performance fabrics patterns, and a choice of five different leg finishes are being produced domestically,” Littlefield describes. “Our customers are very excited because while very accessibly priced, these are not just plain ‘ol Parsons chairs. There’s a small-scale wing back, a shaped back and a more contemporary style.”
