The second annual House Beautiful Whole Home Concept Show House has opened its doors in Nashville, TN with the outdoor spaces adorned with furnishings from the Savannah Collection by Barclay Butera for Castelle. As the latest introduction from the collaboration between Castelle and the iconic designer, the southern inspired Savannah collection is featured on a covered patio as well as in an open dining area adjacent to the almost 6,000 square foot English Arts and Crafts style home.

“Castelle has been proud to be a part of this collaboration of quality construction, furnishings and design entities focused on the Whole Home Concept for this show house,” said Rory Rehmert, Sr. VP Sales, Castelle. “Through our association with Barclay and his design of the new Savannah collection, Castelle was able to showcase our handcrafted quality as it applies to home furnishings as well as the concept of well-being that outdoor living provides any home.”

House Beautiful’s collaborative home is described as an innovative showcase of products and design cues that underscore how wellness in the home is becoming a universal living priority. Being built by custom-home builder, Castle Homes in the Belle Meade neighborhood of Nashville, TN, the 2019 Whole Home Concept House began pre-construction in January of this year.

The outdoor spaces of the show house include gardens by landscape architecture firm, Page Duke as well as 524 square feet of leisure space that were the recipient of Butera’s design plan. Included within the plan were a covered porch with a fireplace holding multiple sofas, a coffee table, end tables, lounge chairs and wing chairs. The uncovered dining area boasts a table and chairs also from the Castelle Savannah collection covering over 200 square feet.

“There's no question I was thrilled to have the opportunity to design a spectacular outdoor living area in Nashville with House Beautiful,” said Butera. “When I was first approached about the project, I knew immediately I was going to showcase my latest collection with Castelle, Savannah; designed with a nod to the beauty and gentility of the South. “

Butera’s design sensibilities and affinity to statement color are on display throughout the furnishings including soft bamboo touches, subtle chinoiserie and the surprise mix of robin's egg blue, coral and crisp white. “I was lucky that my editor was craving color, so for that I am extremely grateful!” continues Butera. “I love the element of surprise with a show house space and the fresh pops of coral really make the space sing. We also hold a deep respect for the architecture, and the scale of Savannah is absolutely perfect for this magnificent home.”

The Nashville Whole Home Concept Home is the second collaboration with House Beautiful. The completed project will be editorially featured in House Beautiful’s November 2019 issue as well as across digital and social platforms for the publication. The home will be open to the public through Nov. 3 with proceeds from entry tickets benefitting the Nashville Symphony.

Castelle, originator of formal outdoor styling announced it will launch the Bordeaux Collection in 2020. Inspired by the appeal of a French country terrace, pieces within the Bordeaux Collection feature a star-like interconnected line motif across the chair back in addition to slender cast aluminum legs. The collection is designed with cushioned deep seating and an all-cast dining construction with cushioning for a truly formal look.

“Traditional looks have been at the core of the Castelle brand,” said Rory Rehmert, Sr. VP – Sales, Castelle. “With the Bordeaux Collection, we have built upon this style and provided our retail partners another collection that has a wide appeal with durability, weight and comfort.”

The Bordeaux Collection incorporates decorative cast aluminum arm and armless chairs each with open-work back designs. Weather resistant cushions add comfort and custom looks for any outdoor space. Bordeaux is available with a full complement of dining and lounge pieces with each featuring durable multi-stage powder coat finishing. Castelle offers hundreds of options in finishes and fabrics as well as optional artisan applied antiquing. Formal looks from Castelle for 2020 also are included in the Antler Hill Collection from Biltmore by Castelle.
