Bellini Modern Living has created a new dining collection with five table styles it is calling “TikTok-able” furniture that appeals to younger consumers by design and price.

The Massimo Collection is aimed at volume retailers seeking to attract a new generation of consumers interested in Made in Italy products with attractive price points. According to Marketing and Merchandising Director Keon Azimi, the new, easily expandable table designs appear ready-made for video, in addition to attention-grabbing in-store demonstrations, and hint at a new division of the company.

Chief among the new dining tables is the Torino, with an extendable tabletop that starts at 79 inches long, and can grow up to 16.5 feet long, accommodating as many as 20 people comfortably depending on the number of self-stored leaves inserted. With a high-quality, made-in-Italy laminate top featuring finished edges and a seamless look, coupled with a solid wood mechanism and beechwood legs for added stability, Torino is available in five laminate finishes, ranging from oak to concrete, with a suggested retail of $1,899 for container orders. A selection of coordinating occasional tables is also available.

The special container-only program also includes the Mitra, a console table with an Italian-made laminate top measuring 36-inches wide and 18 inches deep when closed. It can open incrementally up to 118-inches with the addition of included leaves to seat up to as many as 10 people.

In addition to the self-store options, another pair of expandable dining table designs included in the Massimo Collection—the Martin and the Slide—offer telescopic, butterfly leaf extension systems coupled with veneer tops and bases. Both start out as round table designs and expand to 85-inch ovals (Slide) or 115-inch ovals (Martin) at a moment’s notice with the addition of butterfly leaves hidden inside the tables. Suggested retails with container pricing on Slide are $1,699 and $1899 for Martin. Other expandable Massimo table construction options include Ocean (suggested retail $1,099) offered as a fixed table or with telescopic extensions at either end.

A selection of three new coordinating beechwood dining chair designs in four finish options — Jimbo, Jodie ($219 retail) and the metal and upholstered Asia ($269 retail), are also available and can be shipped assembled or unassembled with the tables in mixed containers depending on dealer preference.

“Retailers are looking to bring new, younger customers into their showrooms, and we think all of the new Massimo table options will do just that. They are ideal for small space living and for consumers who only occasionally need a larger table for entertaining purposes,” said Hossein Azimi, Chief Executive Officer of Bellini Modern Living.

“All of these space-saving looks are high quality, made to last, and have been created at the urging of dealers to not only drive traffic, but also spark interest among younger consumers that they may not be attracting to shop in brick-and-mortar furniture stores,” said Keon Azimi. “While we will continue to specialize in the high-end, made in Italy ceramic dining collections that Bellini Modern Living as long been known for, in creating Massimo, and other products to come, we also recognize that there are shoppers who are interested in, and aspire to, made in Italy design, who seek mass market prices.”

Coaster Fine Furniture is moving toward the fall dining season with a trend-right alternative to traditional materials: sintered stone. Citing quality, durability, sustainability and individual health benefits, Coaster has decided to incorporate the material into their new series of dining room collections, according to a news release.

Coaster is introducing three new sintered stone collections — Acadia, Carvell and Desden.

The Acadia table boasts a 12-millimeter sintered stone tabletop that resembles white marble. The top is supported by a circular base with reeded details and a poplar wood veneer. It is then paired with barrel-back dining chairs with pearl white legs.

For the Carvell collection, 6.5 millimeters of sintered tone in a mirage white finish is laid over black tempered glass, creating a sleek edge profile. The top is held in place by a metal frame in a sandy black powder coat and supported by electroplated black nickel legs.

The Desden table sports a sintered stone top in a dark gray finish, supported by a metal frame and angular stainless steel legs.

Sintered stone is a new countertop material that’s compared to quartz, granite and marble. The synthetic substance is composed of natural materials fused together by heat, giving it the material texture of natural stone without the porous surface. Resistant to scratches, stains, water, heat and UV light, the cool, smooth-to-the-touch material is a low-maintenance choice for busy households, as it’s cleaned with mild soap and water.

“There are multiple reasons why today’s consumers are beginning to prefer sintered stone. For one thing, we are seeing consumers gravitate toward sustainable manufacturing,” said Christie Siu, Coaster Fine Furniture Product Manager. “Materials such as engineered stone or quartz typically use resins or other chemicals to bind materials together. Made of plastic and crude oil, such chemicals are harmful to the environment and unappealing to eco-conscious consumers. Sintered stone doesn’t use any of these chemical binders, and with its 100 percent mineral composition, it’s also recyclable.”

Prior to his role at TCA, Pertchik served as CEO of InTown Suites / Uptown Suites as well as ST Residential, and held leadership roles at WCI Communities and The Staubach Company. He holds a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center, a Juris Doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University. He is on the Board of Directors of Nikola Corporation and has sat on the Boards of Lenkbar and AV Homes.

Pertchik will make his permanent office in Atlanta, while also setting up offices in Las Vegas and High Point.

ANDMORE also announced the promotion of Dorothy Belshaw to President. Belshaw is a proven leader with 32 years of experience in the wholesale marketplace industry, including 12 years with ANDMORE holding such positions as Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and most recently, Chief Growth Officer. Incoming CEO, Pertchik said, “I am eager to work with and learn from an industry leader like Dorothy who is widely recognized for her many years of leadership, customer centricity and industry support.”

Belshaw joined ANDMORE (formerly IMC) in 2012, bringing 20+ years of home and gift tradeshow industry experience. Initially hired to bring the category to the Las Vegas Market, her role soon broadened to include responsibility for all aspects of the end-to-end customer experience, driving increased buyer acquisition across all IMC Markets, and developing tools and services to improve the at Market experience for buyers and exhibitors. An industry leader, Dorothy will be honored with the 2024 Gift for Life Industry Achievement Award in June, which recognizes overall excellence and contribution to the gift and home industry.

Just in time for Spring High Point Market, Bellini Modern Living is again expanding its mix-and-match, made-in-Italy ceramic dining program, this season growing its tabletop collection with the addition of five new ceramics in dynamic colors and patterns. Additionally, the leading distributor of modern, made-in-Italy furniture is introducing Lugano, a new collection of made-in-Italy dining chairs that gives dealers more custom dining options than ever before.

With its continually expanding program, ceramic dining has become a significant niche for Bellini, rapidly growing in popularity because retail partners are able to maximize their sales per square foot, offering dozens of custom combinations of table tops and bases, often by showing only a single table sample on their store floors.

Cut from exceptionally large slabs that result in seamless designs, this season’s portfolio of Italian ceramics is rich in high-fashion colors like ocean greens, and hyper-realistic marble and stone patterns that call to mind silvery tree roots, mosaics and even lightning strikes in stormy skies.

“Consumers now are gravitating toward dark and moody colors, and unique designs with richness and depth that they don’t expect to see replicated in every house in their neighborhood,” said Hossein Azimi, CEO of Bellini Modern Living. “Coupled with their stain-resistant, easy-care properties, we are confident these new ceramics will resonate.”

“Affluent consumers aren’t interested in cookie-cutter; they want artistry, high design and stand-out pieces that reflect their individual aesthetic,” he added.

With this in mind, the company is also showing the new Lugano Collection of five dining chairs this spring. Three of the chairs are offered in full-grain leather with solid wood legs finished in a choice of anthracite ebony or walnut. Available in medium gray, white, black and anthracite, the Rena, Cara and Bravo are set to retail for $449, and are in stock and ready for immediate delivery. A fourth chair with ebony legs, called Dolce, is covered in a printed eco-leather with a diamond pattern detail, and retails for $349.

“Over time we’ve been adding more and more wood base options to our sculptural dining table designs, and the majority of our leather dining chairs have steel or metal legs,” Azimi said. “Adding more chairs with solid wood legs mean these fresh designs will marry well with 80 percent of our line and give retailers even more options for customizing a dining room. The fact is, the more options for personalization the retailer can show a shopper, the higher the probability they will close the sale. Plus, we’re helping them set the table, so to speak, by stocking the chairs in multiple colors for fast delivery.”

Finally, Bellini will also introduce a new fabric-covered dining chair, the Anita, in a plush, silvery-light-gray chenille paired with walnut legs for contrast. Sleek and sculptural, the Anita epitomizes quality made-in-Italy modern design with a solid wood frame devoid of obvious joints. The Anita is set to retail for $399.
