Regina Andrew Detroit (RAD) is lighting up the Lowcountry as a national sponsor of the 2024 Southern Living Idea House, located in the coastal community of Kiawah River, just 20 miles from Charleston, SC.

This year’s Idea House, designed to celebrate the modern Southern lifestyle and historic farmhouses, features a curated selection of RAD’s lighting fixtures that complement the home’s innovative design and coastal style.

The 2024 Southern Living Idea House is situated between two majestic live oaks and overlooks Abbapoola Creek. The house embraces its natural surroundings, with views from nearly every window and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

A key element is the house’s commitment to local culture and craftsmanship, featuring local art and handcrafted products, including sweetgrass baskets from area artisans. The house’s design, inspired by the traditional Southern farmhouse and brought to life by Allison Elebash of Allison Elebash Interiors, also incorporates modern elements, creating a space that is both timeless and contemporary.

Adding to the house’s approachable décor is an array of Regina Andrew Detroit’s lighting fixtures. Highlights include the Globe Pendant, with its minimalist silhouette, hung as a duo above the kitchen island. The Jubilee Pendant, with a rustic yet refined design, alongside the Kismet Hanging Sconces and Kayla Ceramic Table Lamp enhance the bunk room. Each fixture was chosen to enhance the house’s Southern aesthetic with modern details.

Other standout RAD pieces include the Hugo Ceramic Table Lamp and Alabaster Mini Orb Lamp, which lend a peaceful aura. The house also prominently features other fixtures including the Cally Ceramic Pendant, Ariel Sconce, Treble Sconce and the Tate Picture Light.

RAD’s Treble Chandelier accents the dining room overlooking the creek behind the house. The Cape Lantern, Jameson Sconce and Virtue Floor Lamp create subtle, complementary settings throughout the home. WAC Lighting has introduced the Twist-n-Lite Pendant and Flush Mount System in its Limited Collection. Quick and convenient, easy to use and easy to install, the new Twist-N-Lite system features an innovative, patent-pending shared canopy technology, according to a news release.

Various surface mounts and pendant luminaires can be easily swapped to meet various lighting applications without adjusting the mounting hardware, company officials said.

A single flexible mounting base accommodates the complete suite of Twist-N-Lite products, including two cylinders, a flush mount, and an adjustable pendant in five color temperatures and three finishes.

The flexible design enables the user to interchange the fixtures in the field to meet various lighting applications. This energy-efficient engineering product offers dimmable options for high performance and a classic, minimalistic aesthetic, company officials said.

Given the ease of selecting the color temperature, twisting it in, and turning it on, this product elevates multifunctional illumination to a higher standard, a news release stated.

The Twist-N-Lite Pendant uses 13 watts, while the Twist-N-Lite Mini Flush Mount operates with 12 watts. Both are offered in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K switchable CCTs and a 90 CRI while delivering 900 lumens. Both are also Energy Star rated, Title 24 JA8 Compliant, and available in black, brushed nickel and white finishes.
