Hinkley, a leading designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, kicked off its centennial year with the launch of more than 200 new lighting designs at this year’s Lightovation show in Dallas.

The unveiling of Hinkley’s new and exciting designs celebrates 100 years of style and dedication to thoughtful construction inspired by the best and latest trends, impeccable attention to detail and superior quality, according to the company.

“This new era represents what has motivated Hinkley throughout every decade of the past 100 years: a passion for the home, thoughtful design, and a commitment to growth,” says Jess Wiedemer, President. “What’s always been most important to us is listening to our customers and delivering Hinkley style and quality in new and thrilling ways.”

At the show, Hinkley debuted a robust lineup from its Interior, Bath and Outdoor lighting categories. “We took some design chances, pushed the boundaries and really focused on unique statement crystal designs for this release,” said Lauren Lovett, Director of Decorative Product.

Hinkley, a leading designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, will debut a curated assortment of luxury designs this October at its newest permanent showroom at High Point Market, the largest home furnishing industry trade show in the world.

“High Point is the perfect complement to our destination showroom at Dallas Market Center. This new showroom will help increase exposure of our brand as we continue to find new ways to support our lighting showrooms, designers, and industry professionals,” said Hinkley President Jess Wiedemer of the new space, which will feature a curated assortment of exceptional designs from Hinkley, luxury brand Fredrick Ramond, and the Lisa McDennon collection. “We’re looking forward while still honoring our heritage, which is rooted in thoughtful design, a passion for growth and a commitment to our customers.”

Located on the second floor of the Historic Market Square building (#290), the new showroom features 8,150 square feet of space to display hundreds of design-driven products representing all categories – including interior and exterior, bath and vanity options, ceiling fans, outdoor living and fixtures ideal for hospitality applications.

The announcement coincides with Hinkley’s 99th milestone anniversary and a significant infrastructure and investment plan, all of which underscore the brand’s long-term commitment to design innovation, product quality and a cohesive brand experience.

“We are delighted to welcome Hinkley to High Point Market this October,” said Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of Furniture Leasing and Home Décor at International Market Centers. “Their nearly 100-year reputation of producing high-quality designs makes them an invaluable resource to the design community and a dynamic addition to the High Point Market roster this fall.”

Hinkley selected long-term partner Lisa McDennon – known for translating her passion and expertise for art and architecture into the world of interior design through her eponymous Laguna Beach firm over the past 20 years – to design the showroom. This is familiar territory for McDennon, whose redesign of the Hinkley showroom at Dallas Market Center in 2012 created an award-winning space for the brand.

“It’s a pleasure to be part of the Hinkley team and create a showroom that reflects the forefront and the future of what’s happening in the design world,” said McDennon, whose collection officially debuted in 2018, creating some of the most sought-after designs in the Hinkley portfolio. “Visitors to the Hinkley showroom during High Point Market will be inspired by seeing how lighting transforms a space while supporting the latest home furnishing trends.”

Hinkley, a leading designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, will debut its new ceiling fan collection, over 200 new lighting designs and striking new merchandising displays at Lightovation, Jan. 8-12.

The unveiling of Hinkley ceiling fans follows the company’s acquisition of Regency Ceiling Fans in February 2019. Creating a more comprehensive and cohesive Hinkley experience for its customers and consumers, Hinkley has expanded its indoor and outdoor product offering to include over 375 brand new fans and accessories, including light kits, controls and installation accessories.

“We are excited to launch the 2020 Hinkley ceiling fan line with extremely appealing features and benefits. A wide variety of on-trend ceiling fan and blade finishes provides a ceiling fan option for all applications,” said John Moody, Director of Fan Product. “Upgraded LED, motor and control technology, including a WiFi / smart home option for each and every Hinkley fan model, will ensure that Hinkley is providing ceiling fan solutions for everyone.”

In addition to the launch, Hinkley will reveal its newest lighting designs, which includes more than 200 new products and line additions for interior, bath and outdoor lighting.

BOTANICA incorporates the majestic monstera leaf in Burnished Gold within its pendant, chandelier and flush mount styles to create a dramatic, organic light pattern.
WILLOW features striking slender cast pods in a rich Deluxe Gold as the focal point of the sleek Carbon Black chandeliers and sconce silhouettes.

Showstopping product merchandising, window displays and curated vignettes reflect Hinkley’s commitment to creating a fashion-forward, upscale environment to highlight its new designs and reflect the power of visual merchandising for brick and mortars.

Hinkley, a designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, announced that Jim Decker has accepted the role of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective Dec. 9, 2019. In his role, Decker will focus on driving all sales, marketing and strategic Initiatives for Hinkley’s customers worldwide.

“I am particularly pleased to welcome Jim to our leadership team in this important role. I see his appointment as another strategic step for Hinkley to accelerate our continued market share growth,” said Jess Wiedemer, President of Hinkley. “Jim is an industry veteran with extensive experience in the Decorative & Commercial lighting industry across multiple channels and end markets, which will be critical as we build on our strategic growth plan.”

Decker joins Hinkley from Progress Lighting (a division of Hubbell Inc.) where he held various leadership positions over the past 26 years. During the past five years he was Vice President/General Manager of Residential Lighting, responsible for the overall management of all the Hubbell residential lighting brands across North America and China. His leadership across multiple industries and disciplines spans sales, marketing, strategic planning, product development, supply chain management and operations. Decker also held GM positions for the Prescolite and Kurt Versen commercial lighting brands during his tenure at Hubbell.

“Jim’s extensive industry experience will be a welcomed asset as we continue to expand our product offering into new product segments,” said Eric Wiedemer, Vice President of Hinkley. Hinkley Lighting, a leading designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, has updated its branding and is dropping lighting from its name. The company’s new name, “Hinkley,” will officially debut with the start of the New Year.

The rebrand is part of a multi-phase process, with the most recent step being the acquisition of Regency Ceiling Fans. The acquisition created the opportunity for a more cohesive Hinkley experience by expanding beyond its indoor and outdoor lighting product offering to include ceiling fans, which will be introduced at Lightovation in January.

According to Jess Wiedemer, President of Hinkley, “Our streamlined name is one of many things we are doing as part of our blueprint for growth. Product is at the heart of our brand vision, and the acquisition of Regency was our latest step in this evolution. We’ve been on a first name basis with our partners for a while, and this felt like a natural progression.”

The updated branding conveys the company’s focus on the future, and will allow more flexibility and creative freedom for new business opportunities that can deliver long-term sustainable value for Hinkley and its network of partnerships.
