ART AND DALLAS MARKET Center announced the winners of the 27th annual ARTS Awards during a gala event held Friday, Jan. 22, at the Hilton Anatole.
The ARTS Awards, attended by more than 500, honors designers, manufacturers, retailers and sales representatives and is held each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market. Awards were given across categories including manufacturing, retail and sales representation.
“We extend our sincerest congratulations to all the winners from this year’s ARTS Awards,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “As a market center it is imperative for us to recognize the hard work and dedication of the many individuals and companies that sculpt the home industry. We are privileged to have such strong ties to the design community and be able to cultivate the growth of so many individuals and companies.”
Internationally recognized style expert Robert Verdi served as the master of ceremonies for the ARTS Awards along with a presenter slate composed of more than 17 industry celebrities, including Kelli Ellis, Lori Dennis and Jeffrey Allan Marks, as well as designers, retailers and industry pioneers.
“The ARTS Awards is our way of showing appreciation to those individuals and companies who have worked exceptionally hard in the past year,” said Sharon Davis, executive director of ART. “By recognizing the strides they’re making we hope to encourage the constant move forward in the home industry.”
This year’s Academy of Achievement Award was presented to Robert Currey of Currey & Company. Tommy Mitchell Company received the Rising Star Award, which recognizes innovation and modern excellence demonstrated by a home industry company that has been in business less than three years, selected by a panel of industry peers.
