Legrand Adorne
The new iteration of the adorne Wi-Fi lighting system is comprised of the Hub, a backend control center that communicates with all of adorne’s Wi-Fi ready switches, and the new Legrand Lighting Control app that together control lights throughout the home from any location whether the user is at home or away. The app is available for download on all devices and enables users to control lights from wherever they are located. Users can also create custom lighting scenes that automatically dim or brighten lights.
Philips Hue
Philips Hue motion sensor is a simple, yet versatile, way to control your lighting through movement, rather than with the touch of a switch or use of a smartphone or tablet app. The motion sensor features an instantaneous reaction time. When triggered by motion, personalized settings bring gentle light at night and brighter scenes during the day. A built-in daylight sensor helps save energy by only activating lights when needed. Simply place on a side table or bookshelf; stick it to a metal surface with a magnet; or mount to a wall or ceiling.
Leviton Decora
Leviton’s new Decora Digital Dimmer & Timer with Bluetooth® technology has the ability to dim and time lighting without the need of a hub, gateway or Internet connection. Users pair the device with the Decora Digital Dimmer & Timer app and use on-screen menu options to control lights with Apple or Android smartphones or tablets within a 30-foot range. The device can program timed events or set random times for daily activities. An astronomical clock adjusts for local sunrise/sunset times as well as daylight savings time. The dimmer is compatible with dimmable LED, dimmable CFL, incandescent, halogen or Mark 10 Powerline loads. A matching remote is available for three-way/multi-control applications.
Lutron Caséta
The Caséta Wireless system from Lutron is now compatible with the Wi-Fi and Apple HomeKit-enabled Symphony and Signal ceiling fans from Hunter Fan Co. Using the Lutron app, homeowners can adjust the Hunter Symphony and Signal ceiling fans (including the light) to a preferred setting. Caséta Wireless system voice control allows the user to turn on the fan or dim the lights to a certain percent by speaking commands via Siri. Lutron’s launch of the Caséta Wireless Smart Bridge and dimmers is a simple way to control lights, shades, temperature and now audio from anywhere inside or outside the home, which can enhance security.
