Shoppe Object, New York City’s leading home and gift trade show, will host its Summer 2024 edition Aug. 4–6. The event, set to be the largest in the show’s history, will take place at two locations: Pier 36 and Skylight at Essex Crossing. Both venues sold out in record time, marking a milestone for the trade fair, according to a news release

Event Details

The Summer 2024 Shoppe Object will once again feature a dual-venue setup: Pier 36 (299 South St.), a scenic, waterside experience, and Skylight at Essex Crossing (198 Broome St.), a bright and spacious setting. Attendees will benefit from a shuttle service operating every 10 minutes between the two locations. Shoppe Object is also offering free Lyft codes for buyers traveling to and from the Javits Center.

“We’re on target for another record-breaking show,” said Jesse James, Founder and Show Director of Shoppe Object. “We have more exhibitors than ever before, including many for the first time, and our collection of international brands keeps growing. A high percentage of our exhibitors do not participate in any other event in America, so visiting Shoppe Object is one of the only ways to meet and to see their products in person.”

Vendors echoed his enthusiasm: “We’re incredibly excited to be heading back to Shoppe Object in New York for the August edition — it’s our favorite show and city,” said Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread of British Colour Standard. “Creative, curated brands fill the show from top to bottom at both locations; we’re delighted to be a part of this beautiful event again as seasoned, fourth-year exhibitors.”

Chilewich will launch a new collaboration with Martha Stewart at the show.

“We chose Shoppe Object for the debut as it has proven to be one of strongest shows we do globally,” said John McPhee, CEO, Chilewich. “We are proud that Martha was an early adopter of Chilewich products and has used them in her home for more than 20 years.”

Artist of the Season: Diane Vaquerano

For the Summer 2024 show, Shoppe Object will spotlight Diane Vaquerano as the Artist of the Season. A Brooklyn-based artist, Vaquerano integrates her California roots with her El Salvadoran heritage and experience as a graphic designer in New York fashion. Her work features vibrant scenes and portraits inspired by tropical fruits, florals and the textile patterns of her grandmother’s wardrobe. Vaquerano’s art provides a unique exploration of memory and community.

Black Lives Matter Action Initiative (BLMAI)

Shoppe Object continues its longstanding Black Lives Matter Action Initiative (BLMAI) for the Summer 2024 show. The initiative supports Black designers and business owners by featuring a curated selection of their products. This summer’s offerings will include handcrafted candles, tea, ceramics and more, all designed to promote a more inclusive and representative home and gift market.
