National interior design firm Shayla Copas Interiors has tapped Malina Tabor as its new Director of Marketing & Public Relations. After a career in corporate marketing and editorial work, Tabor has joined Shayla Copas Interiors to oversee the strategic marketing and public relations for new products and services released.

“The company has seen tremendous growth in the past three years with a 56 percent increase in sales, and I knew expanding our team was pivotal for continued success,” said Shayla Copas, Principal Interior Designer. “Malina’s vast experience and obvious talents made her the perfect fit.”

Tabor spent 10 years in banking starting at Delta Trust as the Director of Marketing. When Delta Trust merged with Simmons Bank, she joined the Simmons marketing team followed by four years at ClearPointe.

Most recently, Tabor has been a freelancer marketer and editorial/personal stylist. She was the public relations manager on the Elaine Massacre Memorial and works regularly with Soiree Magazine as a creative stylist and monthly fashion contributor.

“I am thrilled to join Shayla Copas Interiors. The company is extremely future focused, and we have so many plans and projects coming out soon that will continue to build on the brand's current momentum,” said Tabor.

In 2019, Shayla Copas Interiors published its first book, Four Seasons of Entertaining, which took an Amazon bestseller seat in the area of entertaining. Following the book’s success, the company plans to release a new book in 2022 and will launch additional licensed products in conjunction with the book.

Tabor adds, “I have a degree in journalism, and my favorite professional experiences involve writing and editorial styling, so finding an opportunity to work on a design book of this stature in our market feels extremely rewarding.”

This fall, the Shayla Copas brand plans to launch a vast e-commerce platform that will include top interior design products in textiles, entertaining, furniture, art and home accessories. The brand recently completed two licensed product deals that will be included on the e-commerce site: a furniture and home accessory product line with Chelsea House based in Georgia, and an outdoor textile line with Polywood headquartered in Indiana.

“I feel fortunate to have a solid team in place as we continue to create and evolve. This is an exciting time for the brand,” remarks Copas.
