Saatchi Art Group has announced the appointment of Sarah Meller as Chief Executive Officer.
Meller comes to the role of CEO after having led brand and marketing strategy for Saatchi Art since 2018. During her tenure, the global online art gallery experienced unprecedented growth, expanding into new marketing channels, forging brand partnerships, growing its organic social footprint, and establishing the gallery as a thought leader in the emerging art and art advisory space.
In her role as CEO, Meller will continue to lead the growth of the global business, which includes the Saatchi Art marketplace, The Other Art Fair and the group’s Hospitality Art Advisory. “It’s humbling that my life-long love of art has led me to this leadership position," said Meller. "In furthering my work to grow the business, I look forward to bringing more art into people’s everyday life, while remaining steadfast in our support of emerging artists around the world."
Meller came to Saatchi Art after nearly a decade at New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art where she served as Assistant Director of Marketing and oversaw marketing functions, with a focus on building digital channels and social media capabilities in order to grow visitation and membership while supporting audience development goals. Sarah has a master’s degree in art history from Hunter College, City University of New York. She graduated summa cum laude from Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art and French.
