Regina Andrew Detroit launched a striking and sentimental new charity dog tote this October which honors Diesel, a rescue dog who found his forever home with RAD founders Carla Regina and James Andrew. The Diesel bag is the seventh in a series of charity bags created by the company over the years. Through the end of November, all proceeds from the Diesel bag, and the entire line of charity bags, will go directly to the Bissell Pet Foundation, supporting its efforts to assist animals in hurricane-impacted areas.
The Diesel bag features a heartfelt image of Diesel, a spirited dog who entered Carla and James’s lives while roaming in a parking lot in High Point. Instantly captivated by Diesel, Carla and James brought him back to Detroit, where he joined the RAD family and became a beloved symbol of their brand’s commitment to animals in need. This bag joins the family of charity bags featuring Dolly, Jenny, Bunny, Sargent, Stanley and Karma.
The charity dog bags helped raise just over $3,800 at High Point Market, with proceeds for October and November sales continuing to support the Bissell Pet Foundation. Like all RAD charity bags, the Diesel is an authentic designer piece that combines design with a mission, exemplifying the brand’s commitment to artistry and compassion.
“Diesel captured our hearts like so many rescue animals over the years,” said Carla, RAD CCO. “Our love of animals and design come together in a powerful way through our charity bag collection, and we’re honored this fall to support the Bissell Pet Foundation’s critical work for animals in crisis. Every bag tells a story of compassion, and we’re thrilled to see these pieces make a difference.”
Animal advocacy is woven into the fabric of RAD. Since 2017, Carla and James have raised more than $35,000 for Last Day Dog Rescue, donating 100% of the proceeds from their charity dog bag collection to help animals in need.
