Ira Phillips, Chairman of the Board at Quoizel, is turning 90 and plans to celebrate at a party at the Dallas Market Center during Lightovation.
Phillips has lead the lighting company through growth since he joined in 1964 and acquired full ownership in 1986. Under his leadership, the company expanded its product mix while remaining a family-owned and operated business. Today, Quoizel has 150 employees between three locations in South Carolina, New York and China.
“However, it is the relationships and friendships that he has made that have been the most rewarding,” a Quoizel blog post says. “They have spanned through the years and continue to grow as new generations of the lighting industry emerge.”
The birthday party is set for Wednesday, June 21 at the Quoizel showroom on the third floor, space 3200 from 11:30 a.m.-1:59 p.m. At 2:05 p.m., attendees are requested to meet in the atrium to sing “Happy Birthday” to Ira.
