Debuting a new three-story building with more than triple the space of its previous showroom, Parker House is making a big impact at the upcoming High Point Market. The case goods and motion upholstery supplier is launching the new showroom with a wide array of product introductions, including two new lifestyle collections (Modern Americana and Provence), 15 entertainment walls, 12 TV consoles, 25 motion groups, 15 recliners and the introduction of an exciting new category. An extensive lineup of hospitality and entertainment options are also on-tap to welcome dealers to the new space.
“We’re very excited to be opening our new High Point showroom, it reflects the growth of the company, the support of our valued dealers and our future plans for the brand,” said Chris Lupo, President of Parker House. “With the expanded floorspace, we now have more design options for showing a complete representation of our line. We’ve also expanded our hospitality area and amenities to give our dealers a comfortable place to relax.”
Parker House will officially open the building at a ribbon cutting on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m. Located at 309 South Elm Street, the new showroom is directly behind its previous showroom at 430 South Main Street. Distinguished by its glass front and mix of materials, the stunning 40,000-square-foot-building was designed by John Kennett of Freeman Kennett Architects and constructed by High Point-based Dunbar & Smith, led by Scott Dunbar. It features a statement-making stairway and a modern, open patio with spectacular views at sunset.
Throughout market, Parker House will be offering a full complement of meals, refreshments and entertainment for its dealers. Saturday through Tuesday, buyers are invited to start their day at Parker House and enjoy its gourmet omelet station. Chef-prepared lunches will be served Thursday through Tuesday, as well as cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the late afternoon. Friday through Monday evenings, Parker House guests will enjoy live entertainment on the patio with professional musicians from Wally West Music Resource.
