The NY NOW Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift announced today that application deadlines for exhibiting in the 2018 winter market this coming February are quickly approaching.
Applications for the Accent on Design section are due by Oct. 26, while applications for the Handmade Global Design and Handmade Designer Maker sections are due Oct. 20.
The winter NY NOW will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from Feb. 3-7. Randi Mohr, Vice President and NY NOW Director said the market is all about discovery.
“There is nothing more powerful than being able to experience interesting brands by hearing the stories firsthand from the designers, and physically feeling the products they are about to order,” Mohr said. “Don’t miss your chance to be discovered and make a meaningful connection with buyers who can drive your sales and truly help you make an impact.”
Handmade Global Design and Handmade Designer Maker – Application Deadline: Oct. 20
The Handmade Global Design section highlights 150 global import resources with a focus on good design, traditional craftsmanship and community building through global artisan workshops. Exhibitors must have a developed line of unique and original work, authentic designs, handmade through global artisan workshops, quality craftsmanship and capabilities for U.S. distribution and wholesale pricing. The Handmade Global Design section will be open Saturday, Feb. 3 through Tuesday, Feb. 6, located in the River Pavilion area of the convention center. The Handmade Designer Maker section showcases 350 designer maker resources from across the United States and around the world, with a focus on limited-production makers across all product categories. In addition to quality craftsmanship, exhibitors in this section must showcase a developed line of unique and original work that is designed and handmade by the artists with a focus on limited production. The Handmade Designer Maker section will be open Sunday, Feb. 4 through Wednesday, Feb. 7 and located on Level 3. For more information or to apply, click here.

For more than 30 years, the Accent on Design section at NY NOW has been the industry’s leading resource for innovative, design-led merchandise. The section is home to nearly 150 established and emerging design brands that showcase design across all categories of products and mediums. It is curated by an independent selection committee of professionals in the contemporary design community.
