Norwalk Furniture and Los Angeles-based designer Kim Salmela will expand its partnership once again with the launch of a new leather seating collection inspired by Kim’s modern, west coast vibe. Several of Norwalk’s best-selling Kim Salmela for Norwalk designs will now be available in more than 100 leather options.
Multiple sizes of the popular Quinn ottoman, categorized by its abundance of sizes and configurations, along with the Carly, Bleeker and Devi will now all be available to order in leather. In addition, Kim’s Alexander chair and settee will now be added to Norwalk’s extensive leather collections.
“Kim’s undeniable west coast aesthetic is incredibly popular among retailers and interior designers throughout America,” said Dixon Bartlett, chief creative officer of Norwalk Furniture. “Her designs bring a fresh new perspective that is very attractive to millennials who want to furnish their homes with a laid-back, modern bohemian vibe.”
Kim Salmela for Norwalk has seen great momentum among consumers and the success of the line has continued to increase in popularity, leading Norwalk to broaden the successful collection. Partnering together since 2018, the top-selling collaboration has extended Norwalk’s portfolio with a bold mix of fresh textiles and upholstery silhouettes that appeal to a younger audience.
“Because of the continuing success of Kim’s Collection, we are excited to add leather as it is the perfect durable, yet stylish option our customer base seeks out,” explains Caroline Hipple, president of Norwalk Furniture. “Norwalk’s leather textile collection offers a family-friendly option to reduce scratching, and staining, while maintaining the look and feel of genuine soft leather.”
The pieces will be available to order in leather beginning this Fall at the 2021 High Point Market, October 16 to 20. Norwalk’s showroom is located in IHFC - M108, Main, Floor 1.
