International Market Centers (IMC) announced that 34 new, relocating and renewing showrooms will enhance the breadth and depth of resources in the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) at Fall 2019 High Point Market, running Oct. 19 to 23, 2019.

“IHFC offers the largest collection of home furnishings at High Point Market, with an assortment of companies that range from best décor and accessories such as Global Views and Phillips Collection, to large-scale furniture companies such as Ashley and Bernhardt,” says Scott Eckman, President of Furniture and Home Decor Leasing for IMC. “IHFC offers buyers and designers an expansive cross-category lineup of product.”

Eleven exhibitors will make their High Point Market debut in IHFC this fall, including: Bedford Collections and Kennebunk Home (decorative throws and pillows); Blue Print Collection (furniture); Cane-line (furniture); Dôme Deco US (furniture, home accessories, lighting and textiles); Dutchbone (furniture and home décor); Heather Ashton Design (classic and contemporary home furnishings); Impressions Vanity Company (illuminated vanity mirrors); Square Feathers (decorative pillows, coffee tables, artwork and accessories): Three Hands Corporation (furniture, wall décor, lighting, home accessories and garden); Vilmers (Scandinavian and Italian-design upholstered furnishings); and Zuiver (Dutch-design furniture).

Another four tenants will debut new showrooms in IHFC. These exhibitors include: American Cover Design 26, Inc. (machine-made area rugs); Hubbardton Forge (handcrafted lighting); India's Heritage Inc. (drapery, decorative pillows and throws); and MooMoo Designs, Inc. (handbags, jewelry and home decorative accessories).

Additionally, 19 relocating or renewing showrooms in IHFC include: Artmax (accent furniture, lighting, wall decor and accessories); Avala International Inc. (reproduction porcelain ware); Barcalounger (reclining furniture); Cattelan Italia (Italian furniture); CODARUS (furniture, home accessories, lighting, bedding, and rugs); Cooper Classics (mirrors, clocks, accent furniture and wall décor); Cyan Design (home décor and accessories); Elaine Smith Inc. Expanding exhibitor, Florida-based RFA Décor, offers a full range of art, including original artwork, giclée prints and posters, and picture frames and mirrors.

"High Point Market is valuable to our business for product sourcing, networking and educational opportunities. It’s an international market attended by every type of buyer, so our collections are exposed to new clients from the interior designer trade, brick-and-mortar retailers, e-commerce retailers and the hospitality and contract markets,” says Howard Rosenbaum, President of RFA Décor. “We also meet new suppliers and other potential partners; but it's not just buying and selling. There are educational events every day, so we learn from other people in the industry. We always come back with new ideas and valuable information about what's trending which helps us plan our future collections.”

A number of these new, relocating and renewing exhibitors are using Fall Market as a springboard to debut new product. Artmax is introducing nearly 100 new pieces; Cooper Classics is debuting a Natural Mirror Collection; Impressions Vanity Company is introducing the Slaystation and Hollywood Glow collections; KAS Rugs is launching a new collection with designer Libby Langdon; and RFA Décor is showcasing new artists and more than 100 new artworks.

Additionally, long-time IHFC exhibitor Bernhardt Furniture is expanding its upscale line to include a debut collection of luxe outdoor furniture for Fall Market. The high-end upholstery, case goods and décor manufacturer is introducing Bernhardt Exteriors, a collection of nearly 50 SKUs including upholstered sofas, sectionals and chairs, dining tables and chairs, a unique large round daybed, as well as accent tables and chairs, and swivel chat chairs. Materials include a range of outdoor designer fabrics from companies such as Sunbrella, stainless steel and aluminum with specialized custom finishes, cast stone and terrazzo tables, an acrylic dining table with a cast wood grain design, plus a selection of items in woven materials.

“We’re excited to present these new pieces in October for Bernhardt Exteriors,” says Alex Bernhardt, Jr., President and CEO. “They are designed at such a high level and with such care that they actually are multipurpose — equally at home inside as they are in an outdoor setting. It is an exterior version of our popular and iconic Bernhardt Interiors line.”

Beyond exhibits, IHFC will offer marketgoers a range of educational and networking opportunities, including seminars and social events. Additionally, there will be two IHFC tours that showcase contemporary highlights and Made in America products. A schedule of IMC-sponsored IHFC events follows, with additional information about these events and other showroom offerings available online.
