New, expanded and relocated showrooms at International Market Centers’ (IMC) Main Street properties will bring innovative resources and product debuts to the fall High Point Market, running Oct. 13-17, 2018.
Located in the heart of High Point Market, Main Street properties include Furniture Plaza, Plaza Suites and the National Furniture Mart. The three buildings include more than 100 temporary and permanent home furnishings showrooms.
“The Main Street Properties are a staple of High Point Market,” said Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of furniture and home decor leasing for International Market Centers. “These new, expanded and relocated tenants join a strong list of well-priced lines that include La-Z-Boy, England, KUKA, Cheers Man-Wah, Mottosleep, Powell, Jofran, M-Star, Jackson Catnapper and Steve Silver.”
For October market, new exhibitors for the Main Street Properties include Freeline Home in Furniture Plaza 511 and Fusion Designs in Plaza Suites 406. Notable relocated and expanded showrooms include Jaipur Home to Plaza Suites 210, Napa Furniture Design to Furniture Plaza 303 and Rich Sofa from IHFC to Plaza Suites 206.
Freeline Home is a Chinese upholstery line that focuses on motion leather and select stationary products. Fusion Designs, which was purchased by motion upholstery manufacturer Southern Motion earlier this year, is based in Mississippi and produces stationary upholstered furniture at competitive prices.
“Freeline Home is excited to be debuting our product at High Point Market,” said Willie Zhang, President of Freeline Home. “We will be introducing a new upholstery collection at Furniture Plaza 511, offering market-goers a fresh and clean look this fall.”
Jaipur Home is a leading exporter of solid wood home furnishings from India. The Jaipur Home line includes bedroom, dining, occasional, accessories and upholstery. The company has a Direct Container Program with no minimums and the capability to mix all items as well as a U.S. warehouse that features a rotating selection of best-selling items.
“Jaipur Home is pleased to be moving to a larger showroom for the October 2018 High Point Market,” said Nitin Soni, President of U.S. Operations for Jaipur Home. “We will be introducing more than 200 items under the umbrella of our new Structured Simplicity Collection, which is designed to showcase the talents of our dedicated craftsmen and the capabilities of our Rajasthan-based family-owned factory complex.”
Rich Sofa has been producing leather motion furniture for more than 26 years. Their line includes power sofas, loveseats and recliners; and all pieces are available in top grain leather. Rich Sofa uses L&P mechanisms and Okin motors, though all designs are offered as manual recliners. This market, they will be introducing several stationery designs.
“Rich Sofa understands the importance of showing in High Point and has secured a prominent showroom location in Furniture Plaza/Plaza Suites,” said Larry Crink, President of LeatherWorks Design Studio, who provides design, merchandising and sales strategies for Rich Sofa. “We will be showing a collection of our best designs at October market, but immediately following the market, the showroom will go through a complete remodeling and this will enable us to display over 25 new designs in both top grain leather and performance fabrics.”
Decor-Rest Furniture, a Canadian manufacturer of fine upholstered furniture, debuted in Plaza Suites 212 at spring market and will be returning this October. One key introduction for Decor-Rest Furniture is a luxury sofa sleeper.
“Our goal for High Point Fall Market is for dealers to ‘fall in love with us,’” said Angelo JR Marzilli, President of Decor-Rest Furniture. “We are displaying our leading North American designs in stationary fabric and leather upholstery as well as our motion and top selling imported collections.”
Overall, the Main Street properties include seven floors and more than 300,000 square feet of permanent showrooms, with a central escalator atrium for convenient access and ease of navigation.
