Meridian Furniture is expanding its occasional table offering at fall High Point Market. The brand will introduce 31 new SKU’s with an emphasis on marble. Nineteen choices in distinctive patterns and colors will include white, cherry, black-and-white panda, pink makrana, burgundy, green and travertine.
The new assortment of marble occasional tables, along with 12 new, trend-forward occasional styles in a variety of other materials, will retail between $600 and $999. All are available in an array of color and finish choices — with fast shipping from the company’s Central New Jersey warehouse, according to a news release.
The move to grow the occasional offerings is the natural progression of Meridian’s bid to become a whole-home resource and a one-stop shop for interior designers, retailers (omnichannel and brick-and-mortar) and stagers for both residential and commercial projects.
Among the new marble designs, the Art Deco-inspired Messina, with a geometric top and columnar base, is available in seven different marble color choices. The Palermo, available as both a coffee and an end table, is another classic Art Deco design, set apart by carved arches offered in five marble choices. The Spherical Coffee Table, in six different marble choices, could be the focal point of any space, with a round table top balanced on three marble ball-shaped bases.
Beyond the focus on marble this season, Meridian is also introducing a number of occasional designs in other materials. Among these, the Westfield console table is a stylish, yet functional Art Deco-inspired piece crafted from solid wood and finished in a natural oak veneer.
The Dimple is a two-piece modular nesting end table produced in a terrazzo-patterned iron metal in a modular shape that allows the pieces to fit together to form a larger silhouette available in black, white and taupe. For metallic gleam, the Tevere coffee table, a bold contemporary metal piece in a fluid, organic shape, offers a sleek look complete with a matte finish in a choice of black, gold and silver.
“We are committed to finding ways to make our offerings as affordable as we can without sacrificing quality,” said Meridian Furniture CEO and Creative Director Matt Rosilio. “Thanks to smart sourcing efforts and tremendous, long-standing relationships with our overseas partners, we are able to add luxurious, high-quality marble occasional tables to our growing list of categories at pricing that enables our customers to enjoy substantially higher margins.
“Our goal for High Point this month is to continue moving forward on our trajectory of offering a wide variety of products in unique designs you won’t see other brands offering,” he added. “These new occasional tables are a great example of that.”
