Lisa Kahn Designs has moved their award-winning interior design firm to a new, more spacious design studio located at 1148 Goodlette Frank Road in Naples, FL. A grand opening celebration was held on Jan. 30, 2020. Guests at the grand opening celebration toured the new studio, viewed a video exemplifying the team’s most prominent projects and were treated to an energetic performance by fire dancers.

“We are thrilled to have a beautiful new sanctuary workspace to meet with our clients and work on their projects,” said Lisa Kahn, CEO of Lisa Kahn Designs. “In keeping with our sanctuary premise, I designed the entry with a unique, preserved moss wall with crystal accents to ground the space and bring a natural element into the studio. The moss wall symbolizes the mind, body and spirit connection at the core of our philosophy of sanctuary.”

The new studio was designed by Kahn with a focus on harmony, health and wellness. In addition to the moss wall, the studio has a centrally located meditation room, skylights to bring in natural light and planked wood floors hand-finished as part of a rehabilitation program in a South Carolina correctional facility. The studio will also be home to the Finding Sanctuary series of online-based workshops and the Finding Sanctuary blog where readers can immerse themselves in topics at the intersection of design and wellbeing.

Kahn and the team at Lisa Kahn Designs pride themselves in creating homes with transformative, harmonious interiors that are not only aesthetically pleasing but are essential to our sense of wholeness and connection. Kahn has spent countless hours learning, researching, creating, teaching and writing about environments that serve as retreats where body, soul, and creativity can all be rejuvenated. She believes that “we are profoundly impacted by the environments around us. When designed well, our spaces can cradle our bodies and nurture our spirits. They can inspire us and reconnect us with what is important in our lives.”

Throughout the year Kahn plans to bring people together by hosting community and industry events in the space. The first community event will be held March 22 from 3-7 p.m. and will feature healing crystal jewelry, music and special handmade gifts by the talented STARability students. In addition, proceeds from this event will benefit the STARability Foundation of which Lisa serves as Board President. In July, an industry educational event is planned for suppliers and designers. A local college leadership day is scheduled for September and a special Gratitude Day with an artist pop-up shop is on the calendar for November in time for holiday shopping.

The Lisa Kahn Designs mission statement displayed on the kitchen wall sums up their company’s beliefs. “We believe there is a vital and profound connection between the human spirit and the built environment. We believe that creating beauty and order in our external world brings peace and meaning to our lives. We show up every day with kindness, laughter and gratitude. We breathe in resilience and breathe out creativity. We strive to embody the change we want to see in the world.”
