Lexington Home Brands announced today the launch of its new lifestyle brand with designer Barclay Butera.
The initial introduction to the brand will feature two distinct whole-home collections, Newport and Brentwood, which will be unveiled at High Point Market in the main Lexington showroom at 1300 National Highway.
"Lexington has long been an industry innovator in developing collections that resonate with consumers because they speak to an aspirational lifestyle," said Phil Haney, President and CEO of Lexington Home Brands. "Our brand launch with Barclay Butera represents a milestone, because it's the first time we have partnered with an interior designer to collaboratively reimagine a style category. Recognizing that over half of affluent consumers today describe themselves as traditionalists, we see an opportunity in the marketplace to create an entirely new take on classic traditional design.”
The Newport and Brentwood collections each take a different approach to Butera’s interpretation of “New Traditional” design. They will feature a significant component of custom upholstery.
The Newport collection is inspired by the relaxed lifestyle of the coast, featuring a light Sandstone as its primary wood finish. Textiles in soft linens and cottons feature blue, white, ivory and shades of taupe and gray.
The Brentwood collection offers a chic interpretation of traditional, with signature designs, textured silver leaf, ebony accents and a rich layering of fabrics. This collection offers a more refined and curated approach in contrast to the Newport collection.
"I am thrilled to be collaborating with Lexington, whose reputation for product development and design innovation are best in class," Butera said. "I have been a Lexington dealer for years, allowing me to experience the strength of their commitment to quality and customer service. The company has smartly positioned themselves as a designer line with broad appeal because of styling, lifestyle merchandising and strong relative value. Lexington products are totally relevant for my high-end design jobs, yet resonate with consumers in my retail showrooms as well."
A special celebration event with cocktails and gourmet appetizers will be held in the Lexington showroom on Monday, Oct. 16 from 3:30-7 p.m. At 4 p.m., Kelly Edwards from Editor at Large will join Butera on stage for a conversation about New Traditional Style. A meet and greet will follow.
Private transportation departs every 10 minutes from the new Lexington Design Studio in downtown High Point to the main showroom, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until the last guest is accommodated. The Design Studio is located at the corner of Commerce Street and Wrenn, directly across from the IHFC building and the main transportation terminal.
