1. The house is a beautiful mix of a traditional Hamptons-style home with the bathroom that has a modern flare. We wanted the wallcovering to make an impact on the space and bring some of the natural outdoor beauty inward. To extend that concept, we painted the ceiling a soft shade of blue. You’ll see the rug has a really interesting pattern to gives the space a nice, unexpected twist. All of these patterns mixed together creates an eclectic aesthetic — that was our goal.
2. We wanted this bathroom to feel very spa-like. The plumbing and tile certainly feel like a modern spa, but then we mixed in patterns and natural, earth-toned “old” decor pieces to balance the new. These decor elements give the space many interesting layers — it makes you want to look again.
3. The Kalista plumbing was a beautiful modern addition to the room. It has clean lines with an elongated shape that is framed by the beautiful window behind it that overlooks the backyard and pool. The shape and style of this bathtub furthers the desire for a spa-like bathroom; it’s quite the retreat
