1. While designing this room I wanted the space to feel cozy, yet fun and unexpected. Starting with the bones of the space I used layers of black, white and silver to give it a cozy feel. We then added pops of unexpected colors and patterns to the space. One of my favorite things to do within a space is to mix metals.
2. Because the room has a lot of windows, we understood that the curtains needed to be unique. That was our moment to have fun and think outside the box. I considered this when designing the room’s layout by keeping the walls simple, so we could focus on the curtain patterns and colorful accents.
3. I wanted the ceiling to draw your eyes up and be a moment. I designed a coffered ceiling with the same wallpaper we did on the walls to give it a uniform feel, and then installed these beautiful Kelly Wearstler flush mounts.
