Global rugs and textile furnishings company Jaipur Living will introduce two dynamic new collections with celebrity designer Nikki Chu next week during The Atlanta International Area Rug Market held at AmericasMart, along with hosting three events.
Omni by Nikki Chu is her second pillow collection with Jaipur Living. The home lifestyle expert points out that it can be easily mixed and matched with her Cosmic assortment.
“The Omni collection is a continuation of what is currently in the line," she says. "I like to evolve patterns and colors, so that even if you bought a pillow from my very first collection you would be able to layer it in with any of my new pillows. I typically work with neutral color palettes that allows them to fit in with any decor style. This line is all about texture, and layering texture. There is no wrong combination of pattern mixing and that is what this line is all about.”
Unika by Nikki Chu introduces bold and arresting indoor-outdoor performance rugs in Trellis, Chain and Styles patterns that work in many spaces.
“What I love about the Unika collection is that by its look and feel you would never imagine that they are outdoor rugs. The craftsmanship, texture, color and patterns all lend themselves to work perfectly as an indoor rug. However, the beauty of this product is that it will create an equally as beautiful outdoor space and that is what I love about this collection. The flexibility and durability of the rug,” Chu says.
Chu has added a half-dozen indoor-outdoor performance rugs to her popular Decora by Nikki Chu line.
“The new Decora outdoor rugs follow a similar inspiration as my indoor line. Using ethnic and tribal patterns that have a hand-drawn look," she says, "I used natural color combinations which is not typical to outdoor rugs. It creates a global yet modern look for any outdoor space.”

Paper Marbling
Thursday, Jan. 10, 3-5 p.m.
Market attendees can stop by for some quick and creative fun – channeling their inner artist and learning how to marbleize paper. They’ll discover how to design intricate patterns in vividly-colored inks and transfer them onto paper they can take home with them. Attendees can register at www.eventbrite.com.

Come celebrate the season with Jaipur Living! Market attendees can mingle with colleagues while enjoying creative refreshments provided by a mixologist. Then they can sit back and relax and get painted with a beautiful henna tattoo. Attendees can register at www.eventbrite.com.

This is a Jaipur Living signature event that gives market attendees the opportunity to take a break from their hectic AmericasMart schedule while a henna tattoo artist adorns them with an exquisite, temporary design. Every day during market, attendees are welcome to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal in the Jaipur Living showroom.
The showroom, located in Bldg. 1, 12-F-9, will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during The Atlanta International Area Rug Market Jan. 8-15. The showroom will be open until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 and Saturday, Jan. 12.
