The International Textile Alliance Educational Foundation (ITA EF) will host its Inaugural Golf Tournament on Friday, Sept. 7 at Jamestown Park Golf Course. The 18 Hole Captains Choice will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The tournament is being sponsored by various ITA members and community partners including: Sunbrella, Al Fresco Fabrics, Crypton, De Leo, Hamilton Fabrics, Inside Out, International Market Centers, JB Martin, JLA Home, Milliken Specialty Interiors, P. Kaufmann, Pepper Moon Catering, Regal Fabrics, Sheetz and the UPS Store.

Proceeds from the event will support the ongoing vision of the Foundation to support the growth of the textile industry through education, scholarship and career development initiatives.

“We are very excited to host this inaugural golf tournament as a way to generate revenue to support our foundation but also further our efforts to connect the industry,” said Brian Casey, Executive Director of ITA. “We’ve had a great response from many of our members and we anticipate this tournament to be the first of many. We really appreciate the involvement and support of our Young Textile Professionals (YTP). They have made considerable contribution of ideas to make this a very fun event for those that participate.”

A key part of ITA’s mission is the growth and development of future industry leaders. ITA member companies recognize the need to attract fresh talent and promote the growth and development of students studying textiles around the world. From internships to mixers, these initiatives create opportunities for the long-term advancement of the industry through education and recruitment. The foundation relies on the support and financial generosity of ITA members and industry leaders to fund these efforts.
