Lightovation has announced the return of the popular Interior Designer Preview Day, taking place on Tuesday, January 9. The event is designed to provide the design community with an exclusive sneak peek at Lightovation, which takes place January 10-14, including a trend tour, an expert panel on technology, and the world premiere of the first-ever Metaverse Lighting TrendHouse.
Lightovation is the largest residential lighting trade event in North America, and features more than 250 exhibitors showcasing the top lighting brands in the U.S. including Minka Group, Hudson Valley Lighting, Kuzco, Varaluz, Sonneman: A Way of Light, Z-Lite, Maxim, Progress Lighting, Eurofase, Hubbardton Forge, Elk Lighting, Crystorama, Savoy House, Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting, WAC, Quorum International, Hinkley, and Elegant Furniture & Lighting, as well as ceiling fan companies including Fanimation, Matthews Fan Co., Hunter Fan Co., and Big Ass Fans. Dozens of showrooms will be open for Designer Preview Day, and many will offer exclusive hospitality and receptions.
The world-premiere of the first-ever Metaverse Lighting TrendHouse, set to take place at the January show, is a groundbreaking initiative which represents a leap forward in the realm of residential design and lighting by offering an immersive 3D experience for the industry. The TrendHouse will be able to be viewed both as a 3D virtual walkthrough individual experience or via the metaverse where people can explore together. Lightovation attendees will explore spaces wearing a virtual reality headset or by their desktop, tablet, or mobile phone.

Designers are invited to the world premiere of the first Lightovation Metaverse Lighting TrendHouse! View by using a pair of VR goggles or computer station and walk-through 2,000 SF+ of fabulous lighting and design. The house features the latest lighting trends curated by interior designer and retailer Shay Geyer of IBB Design Fine Furnishings. Shay pulled her inspiration from the 2024 Lightovation Trend Report written by global trend ambassador, Patti Carpenter and presented by Furniture, Lighting, & Decor and Lightovation.
2:00 p.m. – 3 p.m. The Next Design Frontier: Explore the Future of Interior Design & Technology

Join Leslie Carothers (Savour Partnership), Annilee Waterman (designer & rendering artist), Shay Geyer (IBB Design Fine Furnishings), and special guests to learn about the role of technology in Interior Design. Worldwide company EGLO (TM 4916) has expanded their showroom by nearly 2,000 sq ft, while Vaxcel International Co., has a new showroom location (TM 3907), as well as smart ceiling fan and lighting manufacturer, Carro USA (TM 3939). Eurofase (TM 4002) has undergone major renovations and now has a new entrance for January.
Inside Spectrum (TM 4432), the shared showroom for Lighting resources, you will find the introduction of Aventura Lighting, LUMpure Lighting, Montclair Lighting Works, Our Living Lights, PureEdge Lighting, Premiere Luminaire, and Titanium Technologie.
Returning for the second year, the International Pavilion (TM 4909) showcases lighting manufacturers from around the world. New to the Pavilion in January is Abilux, representing several lighting design brands from Brazil which range from contemporary to industrial including exemplars in sustainability Audax, Celera, Conex, FASA, Lalux, Madelustre, Omega, PDLed. London’s Buster + Punch will also showcase their collections of lighting, cabinetry hardware, and accessories.
Exciting product introduction highlights and events will take place during January Lightovation. Hunter Fan Company (TM 3135) will show seven lighting collections and a ceiling fan collection in collaboration with Jasmine Roth of “Hidden Potential” and “Help! I’ve Wrecked My House!” Studio M Lighting of Maxim Group Companies (TM 3901,3905) will show their second collection of innovative, upscale lighting fixtures with designer Nina Magnon. Dann Foley, interior designer and product designer of Dann Foley Lifestyle, debuts his new portable lamp line with Minka Group (TM 4103). Savoy House (TM 4901) will debut their new collection of lighting with interior designer and HGTV personality Breegan Jane.
Exhibitor activities happening in January include Savoy House (TM 4901) hosting a book signing with Breegan Jane during the week. On January 11 at 4 p.m. Minka Group (TM 4103) will be hosting a panel discussion: Designing for Tomorrow: Staying Ahead of Trends, Innovation and Lifestyle to Anticipate What Tomorrow's Client Will Want. Participants will include designers Robin Baron and Dann Foley together with global trend ambassador Patti Carpenter and moderated by Courtney Porter, editor-in-chief of Design News Now. Eurofase (TM 4002) will be hosting the ALA Women in Lighting Reception on January 10, to be followed by Bourbon & BBQ at and Progress Lighting (TM 3840) will be hosting ALA Young Executives Reception January 11.
Exhibitors celebrating anniversaries include: Innovations Lighting (TM 4909) celebrating their 10th anniversary and WAC Lighting (TM 3101) celebrating their 40th anniversary, while Hubbardton Forge (TM 3725), James Moder Crystal Chandelier Inc. (WTC 303-5), and Justice Design Group (TM 3941) are all celebrating 60 years of business.

Lightovation Trend Report
Dallas Market Center and its lighting exhibitors have released the Lightovation Trend Report for 2024, which debuted in November, focused on the form and function of home decor, architecture, and lighting elements. Copies are available online and at Lightovation. The trend report, written by global trend ambassador Patti Carpenter, features an overview of the latest home design trends with an emphasis on lighting as well as an article on how designers are using Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality.
Style Eyes Trendspotting
Interior and product designer Dann Foley of Dann Foley Lifestyle will be discovering new products at Lightovation. The Style Eyes returns for the winter as the program leverages the knowledge and taste making skills of social media influencers for their insights and discoveries.
