International Market Centers (IMC) has promoted Cain Brodie to general manager of Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC), a collection of design-driven, open year-round showrooms located on the World Market Center Las Vegas campus, effective Aug. 1. Brodie, a 10-year member of the Las Vegas Market team, will report directly to Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of furniture and home decor leasing.
“Cain is a talented industry professional with a passion for design and product that will help LVDC achieve its strategic goals today and in the future,” Messner said. “His knowledge of the industry in general, and the Las Vegas Market in particular, will help him to expand LVDC’s position as one of the top year-round design destinations in the Southwest.”
In his new role, Brodie will oversee the strategic direction and management of LVDC, including marketing, leasing, day-to-day operations, strategic partnerships, and events and programming. He will be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for the regional design trade that features a unique collection of relevant brands across furniture, fabric, lighting, floor coverings, wall decor, decorative accessories, and kitchen and bath.
“I’m delighted to join the Las Vegas Design Center team, and work with our showroom and industry partners to continue making LVDC the Southwest’s premier to-the-trade destination,” Brodie said. “Our team has done a tremendous job building a foundation that drives year-round value for our Las Vegas Market showrooms, and I’m excited to help grow that value, and help create an unmatched experience for the design community.”
Brodie began his career in the home furnishings industry more than 10 years ago as a coordinator for LVDC, and has worked as the Director of Marketing, home furnishings, for Las Vegas and High Point markets since 2014. Prior to joining IMC, Brodie worked for a PR and advertising agency focusing on B2B clients in the commercial real estate and development sector. Brodie is a 2005 graduate of the University of Nevada with a degree in journalism and marketing. He earned his Executive Master of Business Administration from the same university in 2013.
