IIDA has announced the winners of the 2021 IIDA Showroom & Booth Design Competition. This competition recognizes originality of design, visual impact, effective use of materials and the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting and graphics in showrooms and booths at NeoCon.
“It is exciting to witness how firms and manufacturers continue to evolve their products and displays in order to stay nimble with the changing landscape and exceed expectations for the attendee experience,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This year’s winners demonstrated an exceptional use of thought and creativity that humanized the way we think about design.”
The jury panel reviewing this year’s competition included: Jamie Cavalier, IIDA, Fitwel Amb., LEED GA, Designer + Project Manager, BOX Studios; Karie Vagedes, IIDA, Senior Associate, Huntsman Architectural Group; and Sarah Kuchar, IIDA, Owner, Creative Director, Kuchar.
“The attention to detail, color and functionality propelled this year’s displays to a new level,” said Jamie Cavalier, IIDA on behalf of the jury. “TheMART continues to be a hub for some of the most impressive design minds of our time and it was our pleasure to honor these curations come to life.”
