Thirteen colleges and universities have been selected to exhibit at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), May 17-20 at New York City’s Javits Center. Participants are from schools of art, industrial design, interior design and architecture, and will demonstrate craftsmanship, integration of technology and application of unique materials in the exhibits.
“Each year, the ICFF invites top design schools to showcase the best work of its students,” said Phil Robinson, ICFF Show Director. “The program is an opportunity to understand and recognize how a new generation will rethink and reshape design.”
In addition to each school receiving a complimentary 200 square foot exhibit space, one school will receive the ICFF Award for “Best Design School” as chosen by a judging panel of practicing architects and interior designers. The winner will be announced on the opening day of the Fair, Sunday, May 17.
Exhibiting schools at ICFF 2020 include: Cornell University School of Art, Architecture and Design; Drexel University; Kean University; Kendall College of Art & Design; Northumbria University (UK); Pratt Institute; Savannah School of Art & Design; School for American Crafts, Rochester Institute of Technology; University of Cincinnati; University of Houston; University of Illinois at Chicago; University of Iowa 3D Design Program; and Virginia Tech University.
